I was comparing two competitive sites for their traffic on #similarweb. While everything seemed normal, the attached data caught my attention. for about 350K referral traffic, a whooping 36% coming from #chatgpt, pushing #google to No 2. The question remains 1. How do you make yourself relevant for #chatgpt to refer you more. 2. Is there some new #SEO for chatgpt which makes you come up more than your competition in the results. 3. What is the user looking for in Chatgpt leading to this referral? OR, Is this simple BOT TRAFFIC, which GPT is using to get the data and train its engines!! The answer lies in chatgpt search. Several sites have shown increase in referral traffic from #chatgpt after launch of chatgpt search and launch of chatgpt-4o. How do you show up in chatgpt? The answer lies in AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), which is beyond SEO. You tailor your content to answer questions for the user, it is no longer about keywords and indexing, it is giving the right information, knowing what your consumer is going to ask. Suddenly the role of Detailed content and right FAQs is shooting up.

(Just reached 20k monthly clicks) 1️⃣ Find a competitor's sitemap Look for a sitemap of a competitor who ranks well in your niche Example: domain.com/sitemap.xml Copy everything, not just URLs. 2️⃣ Paste the sitemap into ChatGPT Due to ChatGPT limitations, paste up to 50 URLs at a time. 3️⃣ Extract target keywords Use a specific prompt to get target keywords from the sitemap. ⚡ 5 PROVEN KEYWORD STRATEGIES I USE IN REFINING MY CHATGPT PROMPTS .. The image you see below is one of my favourite ways of writing prompts .. the reset at the end is to revert back to the original prompt, whenever I want, because ChatGPT will derail at times after several prompts .. The 5 Keyword Strategies I use are "no yapping" - when you don't want long writeups or explanations from chatGPT, add it add the end of your prompt "list don't explain" - by default ChatGPT always explains a list whenever you tell it to list set of items, so you may just want the list without explanations first. "extensive, expansive, holistic, intrinsic" - these four keywords i use for depth, ( use any of them or mix them up ), add them in your prompt to tell ChatGPT you want details. "you know me" or "act as me" - I use this whenever i write something that has to do with me, now those keywords trigger CHATGPT to go check the custom instructions, that is where I wrote everything about myself, I could say .. "act as me" think about ( remember you must first customize your custom prompts ) "just imagine" "design flow" "develop it" - these keywords are part of my custom instructions, they trigger certain processes, like designing flows for apps, brainstorming app ideas, or outlining app screens, depending on the context it is used, they practically do these tasks just as i have done it several times. ( you must explain these in your custom instructions )
