🗣️ Probably the best purchase i've ever made.
Loop Earplugs
If you are like me and work in a busy office, and your work regularly requires focus - you need these.
I normally use my headphones to listen to music or a podcast when i'm in 'deep work' mode, however, that also can bring somewhat of a distraction.
Not only do these cancel out the noise, personally i feel they bring a sense of calm in busy environments.
These ones are actually the 'Experience 2' for events, however, i loved the gold to match my earrings and they work just as well for deep focus.
AND they have a little loop to attach it them to your keys!
You will thank me later..
I've been thinking about getting them for years - especially because I really struggle in busy places like restaurants and puns, or the office. But my friend said they didn't work for him so I was put off.
Also I worry a bit about having ear plug in constantly. Do you find them comfortable to wear for a longer time?
Interesting as I bought some of these for sleeping but didn't find them comfortable enough to lie on, but perhaps for noise cancelling while working or in other noisy environments, this could be a great help!

Do you believe in doing more than you're paid for?
Here's a thought: What if we started doing more than we're paid for? This nugget of wisdom comes from none other than Jimi Bingham on the latest episode of Mindset2Results.
Rather than sticking to the confines of our job descriptions or the limits of our salaries, what if we push beyond? What if we strive to overperform, to excel, to expand? The benefits could be immense, not just for our personal growth but for the success of the organizations we work for.
This idea might seem counterintuitive in a world where we're often told to 'work smarter, not harder'. But think about it: isn't this the kind of mindset that propels people and companies to greatness?
Check out this episode of Mindset2Results where we dive deeper into this concept and discuss why great employees matter.

Would you lie to keep your job or work for people with questionable pasts?
I once worked for a business that asked me to lie to clients. It's not a position anyone wants to find themselves in. I left that organisation. What would you do? Have you found yourself in that situation? Would you blow the whistle or quietly quit?
In this episode of Every Step Judith Beck and I chat about a new TV series portraying the life and actions of Coco Chanel during World War Two. This gives rise to a conversation about the lengths people go to, to keep businesses and make money. We also explore what working for a brand with a bad reputation might do for your career and whether you would personally support brands where the leaders behave badly.

Others we can’t escape, but often don’t have an outlet where we can safely talk about things.
In a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming, it’s essential to create positive, respectful spaces where society and community can thrive and evolve. That’s exactly what ‘Becoming Comfortable’ aims to do.
🎙️ What can you expect?
• Honest Conversations: Share your stories of discomfort and growth - and everything else and in between.
• Supportive Environment: Feel safe and heard in a positive, respectful space.
• Community Building: Connect with others who are on similar journeys of personal and societal evolution.
Whether you have a story to share or simply want to listen and learn from others, your presence can make a difference. Together, we can foster a community that values vulnerability, honesty, and mutual support.
Ready to join the conversation? Drop a comment below or send me a direct message. Let’s make ‘Becoming Comfortable’ a place where we can all grow together.
Here is the first introductory episode where I talk about the concept and give an idea of the kind of place that this is going to be.

When you are making a change to your organization, your life, your family, etc. you are disrupting the way you do things. You are disrupting what is called homeostasis, the natural way of being and the natural emotional process in your organization, yourself, and your family.
When you disrupt the way things are, you are going to be met by a natural phenomenon of change called sabotage. Sabotage is natural and normal when you are making changes to your life and organization. Most saboteurs think they are protecting the organization or protecting you because they are keeping everything in its place.
In today’s episode, I share some stories of sabotage and what happens when you do not anchor yourself to the vision you have for your life or your organization.
Do you deeply want a sense of fulfillment in your life, but no matter how hard you work or what you accomplish, there always seems like there is something missing? Does it feel like it all just falls flat? In this episode, I share how you can feel more fulfilled in your life.

Interesting quotes from this podcast:
“Around 80% of managers have never been trained to their position”
“More and more managers need to be coach-like to help their teams to succeed”
What’s your thoughts?
New episode of my podcast, Fist Of Firsts, has just dropped. In this one I chat to comedian Seann Walsh. Seann of that Strictly kiss notoriety.
Seann's comedy brand is one of silly, stressful incompetence. That's his persona and his performance style. But after becoming a national hate figure, after that kiss, it became impossible for him to get on stage and deliver a daft performance. It would have like clowning around when you're being bullied.
So after a couple of years in hiding, seriously worried about his future career, Seann delivered an honest, and uncharacteristically serious stand up routine called The Kiss (available on youtube). In it he addressed the problem directly. He poked at the ridiculousness of the extent of the media campaign against him. I think it was personally cathartic for him, it was a brave move, but more than that it was a very smart move. That kind of blood letting and honesty allowed his audience, as well as himself, to move on.
He discusses it all in this episode.
He addressed the problem, lanced the boil, and it meant he could get back to being the silly clown he's so good at.
It's so important when innovating, when managing your brand, to have the insight, the awareness of how your brand is currently perceived. And appreciating the credibility you have with your market. And therefore what permission you have to do something different.
If Seann had just gone straight back to being silly Seann Walsh while the nation saw him as public enemy number one, it would not have gone down well. So he addressed the problem, reclaimed his "character" and got the permission he needed to get back to doing what he does best - being a silly, stressed incompetent clown.
A very smart, creative, human approach to rebranding.
