I was privileged enough to attend a professional business conference with Five Point Renovation and Remodel. We traveled to Austin, TX for the FAST Remodeler Live conference. The FAST Remodeler Live conference is a software and business technology event tailored for remodelers and home professionals. It focused on agile systems and technology, covering topics like lead generation, sales, project management, and 3D design.  We found it interesting that the conference features two separate tracks: one for design-build and full-service remodelers, and another for home improvement and replacement contractors.  Speakers include industry experts who share insights on leveraging AI, automating processes, and enhancing client experiences through technology. In my role as content creator for Five Point, I am constantly looking for ways to improve our customer reach through innovative technologies. It seemed almost too good to be true that there was a conference tailored to our very needs and interests! For two days, we attended many informative sessions with professional speakers in the industry. Three that stood out include: Michael Anschel, who had a wealth of information about different AI programs and software you can use in the home remodeling industry. Kevin Leonard spoke about a similar topic, covering not only different programs to try, but he helped even the most novice learners understand the complex (and sometimes intimidating) world of AI. But perhaps my favorite speaker of the day was Rich Harshaw, who geared his talks (we attended two of his!) towards marketing, and the most common mistakes remodelers make. I could have attended an entire conference on this topic alone! In addition to the incredible amounts of knowledge I picked up, I also enjoyed local cuisine and live music. Austin is a great city with so much to offer!

Hey! So I wanted to share something that's been really helpful for me lately. It's a tool called Fireflies.ai, and it's totally changed how I handle my meetings. You know how we're always juggling note-taking during calls, trying not to miss anything important? This tool basically takes care of all that. After a Zoom meeting, it gives you a summary with all the key points and action items. Plus, you can search through the conversation later if you need to find something specific. What I really like is that it breaks down the meeting into topics, so you can easily see what was discussed. And it even picks up on tasks and deadlines mentioned during the call. No more rewatching hour-long recordings just to find that one detail we forgot! I've been using it for a month now, and honestly, it's been a game-changer. I made a video about it, Check it out!
