In addition to reviewing spirits, I also review RTD cocktails for Wine Enthusiast. The last batch included a line-up of RTD espresso martinis - and the instructions were surprisingly confusing (hello, how do you "squeeze" a canned cocktail?). Here's my WE story unraveling why pre-mixed espresso martinis are different from other RTD drink styles. https://lnkd.in/gHDa9g28
I had to read this because, to me, the notion of an RTD that wasn't, well, RTD made zero sense. If companies are expecting consumers to have the time, inclination, equipment, and ice to shake and serve a drink, then wouldn't it just make more sense for consumers to buy the ingredients instead of the (presumably more expensive) RTD and simply make their own?
Most RTD cocktails on market shelves are poor. With many being too low In ABV to compete with a mixologist prepared cocktail. So I decided to do something about it and create my own brand of RTD cocktails in the UK with a 12+ABV
How about a story on our NFT Wine Collection 🍷
Ha ha ha - this reminds me of "easy" crock pot recipes where the first steps are to grill this, braise that, etc.... That is not a quick and easy recipe and not all RTDs are RTD lol!
Love this, Kara, made me thirsty! Hope you'll be in town for Summer Fancy Food, hmu if so!
