Here's one thing you should monitor in your next campaign. Subject Lines that go straight to Spam Folders. Creating subject lines that avoid triggering spam filters is crucial for ensuring that your emails reach your audience's inbox. Here are some tips to help you craft subject lines that are less likely to be marked as spam: ✅ Avoid Spam-triggered words: Refrain from using words and phrases commonly associated with spam, such as "free," "urgent," "act now," "sale," or excessive use of exclamation marks. ✅ Personalize Without Overdoing It: Personalization can enhance engagement, but excessive use of personal information in subject lines may trigger spam filters. Keep personalization natural and relevant. ✅ Relevance and clarity: Communicate the content and purpose of your email in the subject line. Misleading or vague subject lines are more likely to be flagged as spam. ✅ Avoid all caps: Writing subject lines in all capital letters can be perceived as shouting and may trigger spam filters. Use capitalization sparingly and appropriately. ✅ Length Matters: Keep your subject lines concise and within a reasonable character limit. Extremely long subject lines can be flagged as spam. ✅ Avoid special characters: Minimize the use of special characters, symbols, and emojis in your subject lines. While occasional use is fine, excessive use can trigger spam filters. ✅ Avoid excessive punctuation: Excessive use of punctuation, especially multiple exclamation marks, can be a red flag for spam filters. Use punctuation sparingly and purposefully. ✅ Test Your Subject Lines: Use A/B testing to evaluate different subject lines and determine which ones are more effective. This can also help you identify potential spam triggers. Regularly monitoring email deliverability metrics and adjusting your approach based on results is essential for maintaining a positive sender reputation. Slaving over the perfect email campaign only to have your hard work hit the spam folder? No matter how irresponsible your offer is… No matter how hard you slave over creating the best email or the perfect campaign… If your email doesn't hit the inbox and get seen… It'll most likely get buried in the spam folder. And remember this: spam = no opens, no clicks, no sales. What can get my emails buried in the spam folder you asked? Well, one issue could be your email list hygiene. See, when your subscriber list is cluttered with bad/fake addresses and inactive subscribers… Your emails pretty much get zapped straight to spam. Luckily, cleaning up a list isn't that hard. Below are a few tips. Tip #1: Cut out those old, defunct addresses weighing you down. Most email platforms let you easily identify and remove addresses that just don't work anymore. Tip #2:Remove inactive subscribers who haven't opened in a while.(especially after you've tried to re-engage them but to no avail) Again, most platforms make this easy by letting you filter and remove them. "But won't that reduce my total subscriber numbers?" Maybe... But I would rather have a smaller, engaged list than have a huge, bloated one where my emails get ignored. Quality over quantity, my friend. Tip #3: Use double opt-ins and tools like honeypot traps...to keep new signups legit and avoid spam complaints. (A Quick way to protect your sender reputation). Tip #4: Always, always make unsubscribing stupid simple. One-click process. No fuss. It hurts to see people go...But that's better than a bloated, unhygienic list. You see, cleaning your list monthly or quarterly becomes a breeze once you get in the routine. And the payoff is huge: -better deliverability, -higher opens and clicks -More visibility, and -more sales overall! So don't let a crummy list weigh you down. Get your hygiene game tight, and watch those campaigns finally start performing. Drop a comment if this post makes you feel motivated to go get your list cleaned up. Best of luck. -Abdulmuiz #abdulmuizhassanyusuf #emailmarketing #emaillistmanager #copywriting #letsconnect

SAVE YOUR EMAILS 📩 Let's save your emails before they get dumped into the promotion or Spam section 🙀 Welcome to the Day 13 of Our 🕊️ Copywriting Tips Challenge 🕊️ What's the point of sending someone an email when they aren't reaching to their primary section. Look, here’s the deal. Most emails never see the light of day. You spend hours crafting a killer message, you hit send… and it ends up in spam or the promotions tab where it dies. Why? Because most people are playing the wrong game. Here’s why your emails are getting buried: 1. Bad Sending Practices If your domain has a bad reputation because of spammy behaviors, you’re done!. Consistent high bounce rates or lots of emails marked as spam will tank you. 2. Overusing Salesy Language: Words like FREE, Buy Now, and Limited Time Offer are magnets for spam filters. They smell desperation and spam filters are designed to sniff that out. 3. No Personalization: People (and filters) can tell when you’re blasting the same email to thousands. It lacks relevance. The less relevant your email feels, the faster it’ll disappear into the abyss. 4. Lack of Engagement: If your open rates are low and no one is engaging, email providers are going to assume you're not worth being in the inbox. This is how you can fix it 👇👇👇 🌺Clean Your List: Stop emailing people who haven’t engaged with your content in months. You’re hurting your sender reputation. Only target people who are opening and engaging. 🌺Get Personal : Use the subscriber’s name, segment your lists, and speak directly to their pain points. If it feels like mass communication, it’ll get treated like it. 🌺 Stop Sounding Like a Sales Bro: Emails that solve a problem or deliver value get opened. Sales emails get buried. Simple as that!. 🌺Warm Up Your Domain: If you’re sending from a new domain, send small batches first. Build trust with ISPs by showing good open rates and low complaints. Treat your campaigns like a conversation, not an ad. And trust me, when you start following these principles, you’ll see the shift. #emails #copywriter #digitalmarketing #linkedin #contentwriting #linkedinmarketing #emailcampaigns #emailmarketing #linkedinpost #linkedin #marketingtips

We took our client from a 1% open rate on Gmail to a 58.8% open rate. Here are the exact 17 steps we followed to make this happen: When you’re suffering from a 1% email open rate, it’s rarely a copywriting problem. It’s almost always a deliverability problem. Their emails weren’t even landing in their recipients' promotional tab, let alone their primary inbox. They were going straight to spam. With deliverability this terrible, there’s never one singular issue at play. It’s a multifaceted problem that requires several solutions. With this particular client, they had 17 problems in particular. Here’s how we fixed them 👇 1/ Kept a 60:40 text-to-image ratio. 2/ Cleaned their list of unengaged emails. 3/ Used the recipients’ first name in each email. 4/ Created & utilized re-engagement campaigns. 5/ Sent quality content that generated engagement. 6/ Segmented their subscribers for targeted email campaigns. 7/ Avoided spam triggers like excessive capitalization or exclamation marks. 8/ Updated their “From Address” to reset their reputation with email providers. 9/ Generated replies with email giveaways, stellar copy, and asking questions. 10/ Utilized email flows with naturally high open rates to raise deliverability. 11/ Double checked their SPF, DKIM, and DMARC 12/ Ensured their emails were optimized for mobile, desktop, and dark-mode users. 13/ Avoided large file-size images to avoid a poor user experience. 14/ Trained their audience to recognize their emails with a consistent sending schedule. 15/ Avoided spam triggers by reducing the amount of hyperlinked text within each email. 16/ Create a prominent unsubscribe button to filter out unhappy subscribers to lower complaints. 17/ Wrote emails that motivated readers to “star” them as important for a massive deliverability boost. The result of our efforts? A 58.8% average open rate for our client. Here’s a before-and-after Klaviyo screenshot for proof. Are you experiencing abysmal open rates? Send me a connection request, and I’ll identify the issue(s).
