In the past couple of months, it has been great working with Yu Ming Chin Ysa Alcantara and the rest of the team at Viventis Search Asia. 🌟 ZYN Days 2024 has wrapped, and what incredible 3 days it was! 🌟 More than 100 colleagues from Philip Morris International and Swedish Match, representing more than 30 countries came together to celebrate the second edition of #ZYNDays which exceeded all expectations. From the sharing of best practices in South Africa, the UK, Austria, and Mexico, to deep dives into the exciting product evolution we have on the horizon, the collaboration and insights were nothing short of inspiring. We’re not just talking about innovation—we’re living it. The progress over the past 12 months has been nothing short of impressive and so have become our collective capabilities in the Oral category, globally. The 3-day get-together was also a testament to our #PMIDNA in full motion. This DNA is characterized by great collaboration, a willingness to cross-pollinate best practices across market teams and regions, and a relentless drive for excellence. This Is What Salt Tastes Like... It’s strange how two years can pass in what feels like the blink of an eye. And yet, when I think back on everything that’s happened since I first joined Moniepoint Group, I’m struck by how full this time has been—like tasting salt for the first time, sharp and unmistakable, but necessary, grounding. Mr. Tosin Eniolorunda, I’ve been lucky to witness your leadership. You’ve built something here that goes beyond just work—it’s a place where people can discover more of themselves, where every challenge feels like a door to growth. You showed me what it means to lead with both conviction and heart. Mr. Victor Onyebuchi, Mr. Yusuf Oluwatosin Bsc, HND, AMNIPR, NIM, Mini MBA, Olivia Chibuzo, Oluwayimika Debo-Carpenter —you all have been like steady hands guiding me through this journey. There were moments, many moments, where I felt uncertain, where the tasks felt bigger than me. But somehow, through your guidance, those moments became opportunities to learn, to stretch beyond what I thought was possible. I’m so thankful for that. And then there’s Anuoluwapo Mabinuori, my colleague. We’ve shared the ordinary and the extraordinary—the kind of partnership that reminds me that work, at its best, is about people. These two years have had their share of moments—some as subtle as a pinch of salt, others as intense as the sting of it. Every success, every difficulty has deepened my understanding of what we do, of the way we impact lives through our work. Reconciliation, settlement, operations—these words have become more than just tasks. They’ve become the fabric of who I am professionally. Every day at Valenta brings a new wave of humility and admiration within me, especially after my recent coffee chat with Amy Calder, MA. The encounter reaffirmed something I've noticed since my first day: each Managing Partner here radiates optimism, vision, and an unparalleled brilliance. And during my gap year, the job as manager of B Lab Nordics is the only one where I felt that ‘OMG, I wish it was me doing that!’ Now I feel totally ⭐-struck to be actually joining the global B Corp movement! 💁♀️ As you may know, B Lab is the nonprofit network behind the B Corp movement - a rapidly growing global movement that is working to transform the global economy to benefit all people and the planet. We create the standards, policies, tools, and programs that shift business behavior toward balancing profit and purpose. 🏆 B Corps are frontrunner companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. They have made a commitment to benefit all stakeholders and strive to be a force for good. At B Lab Nordics, we help mobilize the movement in our region, working alongside certified B Corps to drive collective action on society’s most critical challenges. 🤔 As you know, it’s been clear to me for a while that we need all hands on deck to solve the challenges we humans are creating for ourselves and the planet. That's why I took time off to reflect on how I can help. Having worked with strategy, leadership and change - in and as consultant for - companies for 25 years, I know that so many businesses wish to become even more purposeful, strengthen their positive impact and find ways to show their progress to customers, employees and owners. B Corp certification can help with that. 🥰 After the first eight days, I am still pinching myself and can hardly believe how lucky I am to be joining the awesome B Lab Nordics team and the warm welcome that Annika Wohlert, Helena Schrewe, Lovis E. and Mia Møgelgaard have given me. I can’t wait to help the team inspire and mobilise even more businesses to join our rapidly growing movement.
