Our evolving standards for B Corp Certification bring the B Corp community together to transform how businesses create impact, stay accountable, and lead with purpose. These 2,000 B Corps represent a shared vision of doing business better and pushing each other forward. 💪 From January through March of 2024, we held our second consultation on the draft of the new standards for B Corp Certification. With invaluable input from over 1,000 contributors, we’re excited to keep sharing how your input shapes these standards and the steps we’re taking to finalize them! B Lab Spain had had the opportunity to work together with all the communities of Spanish B Corp movement to co-create, deepen and learn first-hand about the new strategic lines that will define the future of the community. B Lab Nordics enters a new chapter: New leadership, new energy & a new office space! 🌿 As the seasons change, so do we! 🍂 We’re excited to share some big news: 🌍 Leadership transition: As of October 1st, B Lab Nordics is now part of B Lab Europe. After 10 remarkable years of growing the B Corp movement in the Nordics - beginning with the certification of the first B Corp in Denmark in 2015 and expanding to a thriving community of over 150 B Corps across the region - Nille Skalts and the MäRK Cph team handed over management of B Lab Nordics to B Lab Europe. We are immensely grateful for their leadership and vision, which has made the movement what it is today, laying a strong foundation for our next chapter. We look forward to continuing collaboration with MäRK as they remain a cherished part of our community as a certified B Corp and B Corp Way Partner. 🙌 Meet Our New Manager, Gitte Rosholm: We’re so happy to introduce Gitte as the new B Lab Nordics Manager! In late September, B Lab Europe’s Markets Development team wrapped up an incredible B Leaders training with 42 participants from 17 countries, many of them from Portugal and Romania, where business’ interest in B Corp is rapidly growing! The #BLeaders training equipped participants with a clear understanding of the B Corp movement and Certification, as well as the pathways for companies of different sizes and industries. They gained familiarity with the B Impact Assessment – a free impact management tool, and learned how to apply it to their business practices. This diverse and passionate group included 42 participants from B Corps and aspiring B Corps, bringing expertise in sustainability consulting, tourism, education & program management, and tax & law.
