Before you buy something, make sure the fit is right....... While attending fantastic Volky Fest a car show here in Rincon, Puerto Rico; I came across this gem. I didn't buy this one, not sure it would be a good fit. Things you shouldn't buy as an LP investor (Limited Partner) on a large apartment building syndication. 1. Don't buy into a sales pitch, The deadline is this week, you would have to get your soft commit before Friday. Act on the deal once you have the facts of the deal. Act on Facts 2. Only invest in something you understand, if the operator cannot explain why you should invest your hard-earned money then don't invest your hard earned money. 3. Don't forget to ask about past deals, experience from other investors with that group. Did they pay their investors out as planned? Did they go full cycle on a deal?
