My view in this Property Week feature piece on the prospects for retail in 2024. Though cost headwinds continue to impact the sector, inflation is finally abating. Whilst there are indeed some very well documented instances of business failure, there are lots of brands looking to expand too. This is particularly true in the Leisure space, with a range of innovative operators that have taken formerly vacant spaces and turned them into experiential destinations. Lots of positive things going on, which are worth some airtime too! https://lnkd.in/eSVuhae9 #propertyweek #retail #jdmretail

8moAnother terminology for this is ‘hitting rock bottom’ Leisure doesn’t quite match prime retail on a £ per sw ft basis but it does demonstrate adaptability and a shift in consumer appetite from ‘goods’ to ‘experience’
