Here is the final article in our series on procurement of #AI solutions. We focus on the types of policies that are recommended as well as thoughts on #governance and oversight. We will be focussing on the #DataAct in our next article series. The implications of the Data Act are quite far reaching and exciting. We will break down the requirements for compliance, but, as the Data Act benefits business users as well as individuals, there will also be plenty of good news and opportunities. It was great to speak at Google NEXT '24 with our fabulous partners Justin Keeble and Denise Pearl from Google Cloud, and Megan Allen from GEOTAB and 🏎 🔋Eric Ernst from Formula E on data and AI in sustainability. Some takeaways: - With CSRD and other global ESG regulation on the horizon, sustainability data will be sitting alongside financial data in company reports - Relative to a few years ago, more teams across companies (not just the sustainability team!) are interacting with this data to make sustainability-informed decisions on everything from operations to investments - Purpose-built software is critical to this data transformation -- to ensure accuracy and scalability, and to streamline data collection and reporting - AI is and will be a part of this future, e.g. large language models to make the interpretation and application of unstructured business data from a company's value chain faster and easier, among other exciting use cases. #sustainability #ai #googlenext24
