The transition to clean energy in the UK has the potential to create jobs, boost the economy, and improve public health. However, the government must take steps to ensure this transition is fair and equitable. This includes investing in renewables, providing financial aid to low-income households, and creating green jobs. What are your thoughts on the UK's transition to clean energy? If politicians choose a homegrown energy transition, they’re choosing to reduce emissions in UK energy production and make sure that we retain the world class supply chain needed to help the whole economy reach net zero. We’ve set out detailed policies in our manifesto of what we need to make this happen: ➡️ An independent statutory body with the powers and resources to oversee the delivery of UK energy objectives and binding net zero commitments ➡️ An industrial strategy, for the length and breadth of the UK, which leverages our world class supply chain ➡️ Prioritise investment in strategic infrastructure – upgrading posts, transmission systems, rail networks, grids and more We believe the UK can become a leading green industrial power, offering high quality employment for a skilled workforce driving strong economic growth.
