In partnership with Climate Connection, we’re hosting our third catalyst dinner later this month on the theme: Unlocking Investment for Industrial Decarbonisation. Decarbonising heavy industry provides huge benefits to the economy, as well as accelerating #netzero strategies. Innovate UK and EPSRC estimate that industrial decarbonisation could attract £22 billion in UK investment by 2040, with the potential to create two million ‘green-collar’ jobs by 2030. Discussions at this dinner will focus on the barriers to adopting innovative and disruptive technologies, strategies to scale solutions rapidly, and the financial instruments needed to de-risk investments and accelerate widespread adoption of the technologies that will unlock global net zero emissions.
