On Nov. 19, we're joining ACT | The Alliance for Climate Transition for an event focused on how municipalities can keep services running smoothly for their communities regardless of the weather, and provide shelter and respond during extreme weather and emergencies. The ways they will do this need to change as municipalities electrify their buildings and fleets. Climatetech startups are already building the solutions to these challenges—and this conversation will focus on how municipalities can work together with other stakeholders to identify and implement them in the face of change. Friends, The results are in, and while we’re disappointed the only candidate with a track record of climate action did not win, we remain wholly committed to our beliefs that as a nation there is more that unites us than divides us, and that we need to take a systems-wide approach to addressing the climate crisis. The momentum of this industry is at our backs. Driven by public awareness, technological advancements, increasing concerns about extreme weather, environmental degradation, and social inequality have galvanized a climate movement worldwide. Public and private sectors are increasingly committed to sustainability, with more corporations pledging net-zero goals and more investors deploying capital into climatetech startups. For the next four years, we will consistently underscore the urgency of the climate crisis to the incoming Trump-Vance administration while also emphasizing the economic opportunity solving it presents. We look forward to deepening our partnerships with the private sector, investors, and progressive state and city leaders who know our collective climate efforts cannot and must not be stopped. As a nonprofit dedicated to supporting climatetech startups and their commercialization efforts, we know how critical innovation and collaboration are to achieving our climate goals. Together, we can continue accelerating the deployment of new technologies that address the climate crisis, create clean-energy jobs, and contribute to an equitable energy transition.
