The meme? It’s funny, because it’s true. I like and use and recommend a great many Microsoft products, but Microsoft Copilot Plus is a hard pass for me. I am a data privacy advocate. I am incredibly concerned about user data privacy, biometric rights and telemetric rights. Despite being a Microsoft Regional Director, (expert advisory position) I cannot in good conscience recommend a service that takes constant snapshots of one's screen and effectively acts like a keylogger. While, I have not tested it, the entire process sounds energy inefficient, processor intensive, memory intensive, and storage intensive. There are serious potential security risks. And it still feels like a solution in search of a problem. I don’t need a backseat driver when I’m using an operating system. And I certainly don’t need an AI screenshotting and keylogging everything I do. Both for a personal and a business standpoint, this sounds like a privacy nightmare across so many different vectors. It’s almost hard to describe them all. Imagine a border crossing where a foreign government scrolls through your Recall cache. Switching to Linux in my personal life to get ahead of Windows 11.

I've been thinking about this for a while now and it really seems to me like a lot of applications are getting objectively worse as the years go on. All the MS Office suite for instance, used to have auto-save. Now MS only enables this feature if your document is saved on their cloud. Speaking of which, OneDrive used to (IMHO) be the best cloud backup service. Now, I find it extremely difficult to use, especially when you have multiple accounts.

If you are often using the word "retraining" in your investigations, you have a problem in the site quality culture. If you are using retrain in your annual training plan, your quality culture is working properly. Be proactive, not reactive!
