Unfortunately, true too many times. My biggest competitors are not other agencies....its the rolodex of my hiring managers. And, I get it. But, once you have exhausted your rolodex of superstars, what then? HOPE someone answers your linkedin job posting? Maybe pick up a referral? Here's a better way: let me construct a curated list of candidates, boil them down into a vetted list of verifiable performers, and then you evaluate and choose the individual that you feel is the best fit for your management style. Nopotism either way then, just the mechanics vary. "Superstars" vs "performers", or rhetoric vs ego? Depends on the viewpoint of course. But it's clear: merit is conspicuously absent at the pony parade. ☕ It's not right either. 🎩
