Recently I was asked, why would a company bring health services on site? 3 big reasons, and so many more.... 1. Preventative screenings for physical & mental health are effective at mitigating larger health issues. Larger health issues tend to be expensive and disruptive both to the employee/family and the company. 2. Retention & Increased Job Satisfaction: how thrilled would you be if your employer offered services to help you keep well on the job? 3. Time & Cost Savings: when health services become accessible, taking time off & possibly missing wages become less of a concern which can reduce stress. Going to the doctor should be a right, not a privilege ❗ "World Wide Technology, a St. Louis-based technology-services provider, set up two health clinics for employees in 2015 to address increasing insurance costs from urgent and emergency-care visits. After surveying its US workforce, one-third of which is made up of hourly employees, the company found that workers did not visit primary-care doctors because of time constraints and the need to use paid time off. In response, WWT launched free on-site clinics staffed by a doctor, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants. The clinics were available to all employees, regardless of their insurance plan, and the employees' insured dependents."
