“I forgot we had discussed that capability in your interview!” During a capability assessment session a manager was reminded of a capability strength of a new hire. When this capability was brought to light again, this immediately led to the new hire being fast tracked through his career pathway. Hiring for an organisation's capability needs is essential, but how do we ensure these discovered talents aren’t overlooked or undocumented once they’re onboard? This is where a structured **internal capability program** comes in, interlinking all people touchpoints— recruitment to development and promotion. By aligning capability data with people optimisation strategies, we ensure no potential goes unnoticed, and every individual can contribute meaningfully to the organisation’s growth. #PeopleOptimisation #CapabilityDevelopment #TalentManagement #EmployeeGrowth #ctwyt

💡Love this from Adam Grant! A fun Reckitt fact for you...𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 is one of the key elements that Talent Acquisition are asked to assess when screening candidates. 💡It's important to be able to demonstrate learning agility in an interview when in pursuit of a new role, in a changing landscape, where there's an increasing focus on 'skills' rather than simply experience. 💡 Weekly tip from me - take on those extra projects that are on offer at work if you're ready for a stretch. Put your hand up to take on the task that makes you feel the most uncomfortable. Keep growing through breadth! #talentacquisition #growthmindset

To all the talent acquisition professionals who got laid off, many of you are going through the ups and downs of the talent acquisition journey, thinking... "I have so much to learn!" "Will I ever measure up to other professionals?" "All those interviews didn't prepare me for this!" "Can I really make it in this field?" Questions, insecurities, doubts - these are all part of the experience in talent acquisition. It's okay to feel this way, but don't let it consume you. Switch those thoughts to: 1️⃣ "I may lack experience, but I belong here." 2️⃣ "I may not have all the solutions now, but I'm growing every day." 3️⃣ "My skills and training count for something." 4️⃣ "Seeking guidance is a strength, not a weakness." Stay strong and keep pushing forward.

Competency mapping serves as a valuable tool during the hiring process, providing a structured and objective framework to assess candidates’ suitability for specific roles within the organization. By clearly defining the key competencies required for each position through the competency mapping process, hiring managers can align the job requirements with the candidates’ qualifications, skills, and experiences. https://bit.ly/3qoSbKB #competencymapping #alignment
