From Minneapolis Airport Uber woes to AI innovation highs! 3 tips for navigating both with finesse. I recently ran a great roundtable dinner in the Twin Cities. The only painful thing was getting there. I will say... it made me think. Struggling to catch an Uber at the Minneapolis Airport is like waiting for a breakthrough in tech without AI - painfully slow and filled with unexpected twists! But fear not, C-suite friends, I've got three random tips to navigate both the airport queue and the fast-paced world of AI innovation (yes, Uber was delayed that long, that I thought of this): • 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞: Just like those peak times when every traveler is scrambling for a ride, the tech world experiences surges of innovation. Don't panic! Embrace the chaos and ride the wave of AI advancement to propel your company forward. • 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 (𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐀𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬) 𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐞: While waiting for your Uber, patience might be key, but in the tech world, it's all about speed! AI is constantly evolving, so don't get left behind while staring at the airport exit sign. Stay agile, adapt, and seize those AI opportunities before they vanish! Plus... expand your knowledge on it every...single...day. • 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐨: Just as you strategize your airport exit plan, craft a solid AI strategy for your business. Plot your route, anticipate challenges, and leverage AI tools to navigate the ever-changing landscape. Who needs a GPS when you've got AI-powered insights? So, next time you're stuck in that Minneapolis Airport Uber line, remember these tips. Discover the Super Powers of Integration and Artificial Intelligence! Recently, I had the chance to travel with my family to the West Coast of the United States, a much-awaited trip. Our journey included a layover in Minnesota before reaching San Francisco. Our first flight was smooth, but just fifteen minutes before landing in Minnesota, the captain announced a diversion to Madison, Wisconsin, due to bad weather. After an hour in the air, we landed in Madison, refueled, and finally reached Minnesota four hours late. By then, we had missed our connecting flight to San Francisco. Upon landing, the airline rebooked us for the next afternoon flight to San Francisco. Faced with an unplanned overnight stay, we were anxious about accommodation. But technology came to our rescue! The airline provided complimentary accommodation options through a text message link. It provided a handful of hotel options. The same link offered rideshare options to the hotel I choose. At the click of a button, we had a ride waiting for us at the airport to the hotel we chose. This seamless integration of airline, hotel and rideshare services turned our frustration into appreciation for the airline. That evening we landed in San Francisco In the Bay Area, we encountered driverless cars and even took a rideshare from our hotel. Initially hesitant, I was encouraged by the younger generation in my family to try it. The driverless car precisely reached the pick-up location and identified us by name. We played our favorite songs through a mobile app.The car navigated busy streets safely, providing a memorable experience. Both these experiences reminded us of the power of Integration and Artificial Intelligence. These technologies are transforming our challenges into enjoyable experiences. They're here to stay, evolve and make our lives better. Have you experienced the superpowers of Integration and Artificial Intelligence? What can you share? #technology #ai #integration

looking forward to checking out this new tool from Alaska Airlines aimed at improving usage of loyalty points. still early in its release and apparently somewhat buggy - it'll address a common pain point for mileage plan members who spend a lot of time searching for award flights. by incorporating a network of 30 airline partners and leveraging cutting-edge technology from Microsoft and OpenAI, Alaska is on a mission to enhance the end-to-end travel journey for their customers. also in the works is a broader trip planning tool with a team of Google engineers to integrate AI assistants into the shopping experience. there's also talk of upgrading passenger technology in airport lobbies and supporting startups that aim to modernize transportation. let me know what you think when you get to try these out. we will continue these conversations as we work with TECH WEEK by a16z to bring together #AI and #SouthAsian communities at #NYTechWeek 🗽 antha prerna foundation Commercial Bank of California MSI The INDUStry Show #AlaskaAirlines #AI #TravelTech #Innovation #LoyaltyPrograms

#AI is already affecting how we work and live, but also how we plan our vacations, book flights, and search for ticket prices. ✈️ Experts expect a new era of intelligent travel agents riding on #GenAI-powered chatbots. Get ready to interact with #hotelbooking and travel sites by typing out your questions, not just clicking checkboxes. It's all about personalized, conversational experiences! ✈️ AI is also helping airlines and airports streamline processes from rebooking when #flights go haywire to efficiently managing baggage carts and staff. For example, an airline is leveraging intelligent software to offer rebooking options but also issue vouchers for necessities when a flight is cancelled, elevating the journey for travelers. ✈️ Additionally, fueled by massive data sets, AI systems are improving the ticket pricing algorithms of airlines, leveraging weather predictions and customer searches to fill planes while maximizing revenue. On the other side, online ticket services are using AI to offer customers better prices for their travels! Exciting times ahead for the travel-tech synergy! https://lnkd.in/g7jFSc-v [nytimes.com] #DellTechEMEA #iWork4Dell

This could actually be very useful, if it works as advertised: using GenAI to help decipher the deliberately-obtuse redemption of airline miles. I would love a meta-tool for this that works across all airlines, helps me give real answers on optimizing my points across dozens of airlines where I have loyalty points AND my credit card points. Most importantly, for a non-avgeek like me, not make me feel stupid for asking these questions. Does it exist, anyone building it or can anyone please build it?
