Just got an email from a CEO yesterday that they closed a $450,000 TCV deal from a buyer they met at SaaStr Annual in September. Don’t say events don’t work. Be where your customers are. Even in the age of AI.
Not “even in the age of AI” but “especially in he age of AI.” Human to human selling is back.
Who is saying events don’t work? Need to be more dedicated to their event strategy.
Curious if that was a deal in progress or a cold intro at the event. The pattern from enterprise deals that I saw was that deals in progress were closed within 7 days after an event, presumably after the in person meet up after weeks of online calls. In person Events are definitely deal *accelerators.* This is from multiple companies with large event volume and deal vol.
Event leads - Are won at higher rates - Have shorter sales cycles - Are more likely to be opps when they go elsewhere (eg new job) plus events are rare opportunity to bring customers & prospects together I stopped doing virtual events and honestly most webinars to just focus our energy on in person

💯 that is the best! Never know who you run into in the elevator or waiting for coffee … gotta be where the customers are! While our customers definitely won’t be at Saastr conference Document Crunch is coming anyway!!!
Love this! 💥 No matter how digital things get, face-to-face connections still hold massive value. Be where the action is, and the deals will follow!

Beauty. Events are the only outbound activity that consistently works for high ACV biz in 2020s 🙏🏻
