The reason why you would implement or enable flex or rigid-flex in a design is due to a limited space requirement within an enclosure. https://lnkd.in/dNstkvTS

I Need HELP With A PCB Design. I designed a BMS interface board with edge mount LEDs. Most of the finished boards we receive are fine. Some, however, have what I consider weak solder joint for some of the LEDs. The slightest pressure from handling will break them free from their solder joints. This is odd, because they completely seperate from the solder itself. there is no adhesion to the LED lands. Any thoughts?

About PCB lighting, I think the white solder mask color is the best. It also works for reflectors. In your opinion, are there other critical points when designing PCB lighting? Please comment below.

Designing flex and rigid-flex PCBs creates unique obstacles. For example, you may need to use special layers such as stiffeners or cover layers, create curved traces, or use a cross-hatched plane fill. Unless properly managed, these obstacles can lead to design failure, re-spins, and long-term reliability issues.
