August marks another milestone in my career at Novartis as I entered 13th Year of amazing journey with Novartis. These 13 years have been full of diverse (Drug Development, Leadership, Strategy, Consulting and list goes on) experiences and many lessons for life. Below are my top 5 picks for people and organizations: 1.     Intangible benefits of long-term relationships are of No less importance than financial benefits a job can offer. Having peace of mind, good people to work with and enjoying your work has much more net value than estimated. 2.     Developing depth and breadth of knowledge, both are of equal value and career must have a right mix of both. Neither organizations, nor individuals should see lack of any of those as bottlenecks – both competencies are mandatory for successful businesses and career. 3.     Perfection is a myth and both organizations and individuals must embrace imperfections and see it. Amplify strengths and just be aware of opportunities (no need to put more energy than required to overcome weaknesses). 4.     Things evolve, and many times very differently than you would have planned. But that’s what life is all about, Isn’t it? Being ready for those with resilience and open mindset helps. 5.     Last but not the least, saying No is difficult (including to some career opportunities) but gives you immense confidence and pleasure to pursue what you want in life (in actual sense) and yes most of the times makes us happy in long run.

Today is my 13th anniversary at Astellas Pharma. At 36 years old, that’s effectively 1/3rd of my life. A few takeaways - Success in this industry can look wildly different depending on your strengths, but top reps typically fall into one of these categories: Brute Force 💪🏼 - first on the road, last to get home. Creates more opportunities than their peers. Data Sniper 📈 - knows their territory like the back of their hand. Sees opportunities ahead of time and nothing falls through the cracks. Consistently puts themselves in the places with highest potential for outcome Clinician 🥼- Understands and anticipates the needs of HCPs, staff, amd patients. consistently delivers tailored reinforcement and support. This rep becomes an asset to the clinic and is viewed as a partner Charismatic 💁🏻♂️💁🏻♀️ - rapidly gains trust and builds rapport. This rep has great access where others may not and can be more direct when closing for business One thing is very consistent - reps that are driven by improving patient outcomes do very well. Time flies! I've already spent three months in my new job position, and I couldn’t be happier. That’s why I want to take a moment to pause, recap, and share my journey with you. If this connects with you, feel free to share your stories with me in the comments. I would love to hear about them! ✨ 👩⚕️I come from the field of social work and have a background as a nurse. I have been in corporate since 2006. Over the years, I have experienced a lot, worked in many different positions, and learned so much about myself. Social Work is very diverse and demanding. As a result, I have strengthened my resilience and have learned to keep a cool head even in difficult situations. This experience definitely benefits me in my leadership position as a Brand Manager at Chiesi. 🙌 I started at Chiesi as a Key Account Manager, where I focused on designing product presentations and materials based on the doctor's needs. Since the beginning of this year, I have been the Brand and Area Manager of Neonatology and Critical Care. With this new position, I now lead a great team of four people, whom I appreciate a lot. 👉 Every new job or position brings its own difficulties and challenges. In my role as Brand Manager and Team Lead, I had to adapt to this position and figure out what kind of person I want to be on this journey. This always raises questions for me: Who do I want to be for myself? What is my vision of myself, and who do I want to be for my team? I am convinced that authenticity and equality are essential. Respectful interaction is a priority for me. If I show respect to my colleagues, I can also expect respect from them.
