Mission? Core values? That's that fluffy stuff, right? On a recent episode of the Path for Growth podcast, Alex Judd asked me what the biggest difference has been to me as the leader since the introduction of intentional mission and values at Fulling 12 years ago. There are three main areas of impact: ↳WHO WE WORK WITH If a business doesn't align with our values, it's not going to be a good fit. Our values help us say "no" when needed. ↳WHO WE HAVE ON OUR TEAM In the hiring process, we see when candidates light up because they resonate with our values. They help us hire right. ↳HOW WE REPRESENT OUR CLIENTS We want our clients to win. That means, if they outgrow us, we pass them on to another team. Our values ensure we represent our clients. Your mission and values aren't the "fluffy stuff," and they aren't just there for marketing. Your values should guide some of the most critical aspects of your business: who you work with, who you hire, and how you serve your clients. *** Thanks for the conversation, Alex! I’ll share the full episode in the comments below. ------------------------------------- I’m Rusty Fulling, Founder & CEO of Fulling Management & Accounting. We’re passionate about helping business owners gain clarity, grow their profits and gain peace of mind while supporting your growth as a leader.

Question: What do you get when you cross a brand with a strategy? Answer: A living and breathing blueprint for successful engagement... or more likely, the elephant in the room that leaves executives and entrepreneurs scratching their heads. In this week's episode of the Brand Jam Podcast | ברנד ג'אם פודקאסט, we dive into one of the more misunderstood and confusing hallmarks of future-proofing any enterprise that should be foremost on your to-do list, and ask: *What, in fact, is a brand strategy? *How does it differ from a marketing or business strategy? *Why is it absolutely mission-critical for achieving your long-term objectives? Join my fellow brand jammers, David Laxer, Tamar Dan and yours truly, as we explore the essence of what it is we do on a daily basis, and make a case for why you need to be just as passionate about it as we are. Here's a taste of the group interplay. Links to the full episode on all your favorite platforms are below.
