📢 Stepping into the Role of CPCO: A New Chapter I’m thrilled to share that I’m officially stepping into the role of Chief People and Culture Officer (CPCO) at Forga. 🚀 Shifting from Creative to HR might seem unexpected, but I’ve never been one to stick to the obvious path. This is my second career pivot, and it feels like the right move at exactly the right time. ✨ It wasn’t a sudden leap. As Forga grew, I naturally found myself leaning into this space. It’s something I’ve been passionate about for a while—just didn’t quite know how to define it until now. What’s changing? Not much. I’ll still be doing what I love: communicating, solving problems, and, yes, dragging people into workshops 😄. Creativity? Still at the core. Now, I’m channeling it into building a culture where challenges are embraced, resilience grows, and collaboration thrives. 🌱 But that’s just my take. Culture is a team sport, and I’m here to shape it with all of you, Forgatians. 💪 So, let me be officially CPCO for a while. I’ll keep refining the vision and maybe even practice my creative writing while I’m at it. 😅 Let’s design a new meaning.

Building confidence through demonstrated ability.

There are those days where we all feel that we aren't good at anything - like we have been a failure in life. But this simply is NOT true! We have all achieved things in our life - sometimes these things may seem small or insignificant - but often they may have made a huge difference to someone else. I recommend to people that they make a REVERSE bucket list - this isn't a list of what you want to do - its a list of what you have ALREADY achieved - and this doesn't have to relate to work, or be about winning awards. Think about something you have done that you are PROUD of - like 1. You helped a Neighbour fix something 2. You smiled at someone at the shopping centre - which made them smile 3. You helped a colleague with a task at work when they weren't feeling well and stopped them getting into trouble 4. You got selected for a committee at the sports club 5. You made a friend feel better when they were feeling down It can literally be anything! These are all great achievements! FEEL YOUR WORTH!! Not everything has to be measured in dollars or awards. Give it a try - I challenge you to find 10 things you have achieved! its sure to make you feel just a tiny bit better!

NNBC Employee Spotlight, Deb Miller! Deb has been with NNBC for 33 years! Deb has held various roles at NNBC throughout her years and currently holds the position of team lead/production coordinator in our metal solder division. We can always find Deb on the floor leading her team daily and making sure they have what they need to make the product for your orders. She is a wonderful asset, knows the products of her department inside and out, and has a depth of knowledge. Please take a few minutes to get to know Deb a little more. You will soon learn why she is so appreciated. 1. What do you enjoy about your role? - As a production coordinator it keeps me busy, and makes me think. It feels good to help move the product out to the customers. As a group leader I have a good relationship with my supervisors and coworkers. I can rely on them, and they can rely on me. We bring out the best in each other. 2. What is your favorite NNBC product that is manufactured? - Acid Brushes! 3. What is the best advice you can give someone who has just started their career? - Ask questions, no matter how small or insignificant you think they might be. 4. What was the first gig/live music event you went to? - Journey, Styx, REO Speedwagon at Hershey. 5. What is a dream vacation like for you? - Australia or Italy and I would soak in all of the local favorite spots.

Hello friends, scientists and communicators! Here is a little #mondaymotivation for you all. At CSIRO Publishing I run so many workshops and very frequently hear participants say "my English isn't good enough for academic writing" or "I'm not confident with my English." I have a confession: Despite teaching writing for a living, good spelling and grammar don't come easily to me and I've had to put in the practice. In fact the post I'm sharing comes from someone who was extremely patient with my early academic writing efforts and personally inspires me. Dr Michael Seery shares a mural from their workplace at the Centre for Academic Language and Develop at the University of Bristol: "Academic Language is no one's mother tongue". I would like to add that no one is born a good writer - there are just people that have had more practice at it! I hope this inspires you today to put aside your worries about being a "good writer", sit down and write for 15 minutes and practice writing some words on a page. 🌟 5 Years at Morrisons! 🌟 Today marks a milestone—5 incredible years working at Morrisons! My first job from the age of 16 to now, 21! I've had the privilege of being part of a team that has shaped my career and personal growth in countless ways. Balancing work and studies has been no small feat, but it’s taught me invaluable lessons in time management, resilience, and commitment. Throughout this journey, I’ve developed key skills in customer service, including: - Effective communication: Listening to customers' needs and finding solutions quickly. - Problem-solving: Handling challenges on the spot, from managing complaints to dealing with unexpected situations. - Teamwork: Collaborating with a diverse group of people to deliver great service every day. - Patience and empathy: Understanding the importance of treating every customer with care and respect, no matter the situation. Staying committed to Morrisons for this long has also given me a deep appreciation for loyalty and dedication. I've grown both personally and professionally, and I’m excited to see where the next chapter will take me! A huge thank you to my colleagues and mentors for making this experience unforgettable.
