These are last year figures.
I would request all HR Guru's their respective organization to ensure at least 37,000 or whatever the law of the land says. As, companies making more than 1 Billion revenue a year aren't paying minimum wages in our world. Please
Min wage should be 80k in Pakistan And average wage for Skilled person should be 150-200k atleast Income taxes: 80k/month 20% 150k+/month 30% Health Insurance: 10% regardless of income bracket Make everything digital and put 500% focus on labour law development & marketing (rather ch*** panti wali siyasat vote ko izat do, balla balla etc) Make 5 days a week work-day so people can go out and spend money which will generate sales tax. Reduce sales tax % Federal 6% (Fixed) Provincial 4%-9% Provincial tax play major role in development and business migrations. Put the whole country in a real competition
We should also clear vendor payments on time.
I fully agree with this. Whereas the top bosses are tagging their own salaries at international standards, some CEO's in Pakistan earning as high as 3 crores a month, the lower cadres (including vendors and subcontractors employees) are left struggling at the minimum wage or even lower. However, if agree to raise the bar to match the cost of living, a similar treatment will also be required for the middle ranks... the white collar workers. The question is, who will bell the cat?
Paracha Sahab, I disagree with you. We need to improve the system because things are getting worse, and we know why. Raising wages alone won’t solve the problem. Without a proper system and accountability, nothing will change. This issue isn't just about small or large cities. We still have to pay taxes, but it seems like only the elite(HARAM KHOORS) benefit while the government harms honest people by taking away their food carts and livelihoods. To fix inequality and poor services in Pakistan, we need major changes in how the government works, how services are provided, and how the economy is managed. By focusing on transparency, accountability, and better services, we can create a fairer and more effective society
It's crucial for HR professionals to ensure that all employees receive at least the minimum wage. If the company isn't meeting the standard of 37,000 rupees, it's a serious concern that needs to be addressed. Fair compensation is not only a legal obligation but also vital for maintaining trust and integrity within the organization.
I am glad that at least someone in corporate realized this raised the bar.
Good Advice who is willing to pay that much to the working class are you saying after tax take home May Allah bless the business owners to pay that much minimum pay to their workers even then they won’t be able to Pay their electric, gas and food bills and then comes the exuberant school fees . I pray for the working class in Pakistan Government would have to make lot of sacrifices and think for their people . I very much doubt that because those poor people are paying the bills of all the Politicians and diplomats of that country why would they do that .
Dear All. Minimum wage is a major issue, but one of the MAJOR problem is companies don't pay EOBI & SESSI for employees and at the time of annual inspection they pay heavy envelope to inspection without basic calculation that SPEED money is paid is more then the annual contribution. Annual contribution of EOBI & SESSI is far less then SPEED money and the BENEFITS which worker can avail.
