Scot and Steve are heading to Sunnyside High, in this Indie, action adventure horror game, developed by Crista and Bryan from Cozy Game Pals and supported by Blumhouse Games. There is two sides to this story! So what happened to Vivian and Amy, once they sneaked into their school after hours to do a séance, something tells me it did not go to plan, as Steve and Scot get lost in the corridors of this school and have to solve puzzles to unravel the disturbing mystery of what happened a decade ago, but most important they must stay out of the spot light? #fearthespotlight #horror #blumhouse

I can wait to move this project to the new game engine. This is my first co-op player game I've develop so far. I was even thinking about adding to more players so that this game can be a 4 player couch game. #singleplayer #coop #itssmacking #roguelite #gamedesign

In the latest episode of "It Actually Happened During My Lifetime," the game Banana, where the entire gameplay loop involves... clicking a banana... to change the number printed on top, was the most played game on Steam last night. Today, it holds the number two spot, boasting more players than Destiny 2, Rust, War Thunder, Warframe, Monster Hunter: World, Sid Meier's Civilization VI, Stardew Valley, Team Fortress 2, and HELLDIVERS 2 combined. If you want to understand where the break has occurred between pouring $400M into the games grist mill and having "financially profitable AAA success" predictably come out the other side, start here with this solo-developed game that involves... clicking on a banana. In the meantime, I'm going to go... eat a banana. P.S. Watch out for the Attack of the Clones. There are a million of them coming or already here.

#IndieGameLove AAA’s are like summer blockbusters. Super polished, latest/proprietary engines, licensed characters, huge advert budgets…. We all agree they rock. But let’s give some love to the #IndieStudios and #SoloDevs. The art house films of the gaming world. Some of the best games I’ve played come from small teams working strictly from passion. What are some small/indie games that blew you away and influence you to this day? Very abbreviated list to start the conversation: Puppet Combo - any and all games they produce. The absolutely nail schlocky ‘80s VCR trope. Such fun What Remains of Edith Finch - I still think of this game daily. Basically a walking sim but the writing, dialog, and changing systems make this a haunting masterpiece. Thank Goodness You’re Here - A charming look at a fictional little England town. The writing is masterful. Still Wakes the Deep - What seems like a run of the mill first person horror is elevated to masterpiece through superb voice acting. What are some of your fav small/indies and games that have inspired you?

Do you choose to give up when things get tough or do you keep on going? I had a fond memory last night of my time with arguably one of the best and one of the most tactically heavy games of its time…Batman Arkham Asylum (2009). These questions came to mind constantly throughout the game as there were points for this 19 to 20 year old at the time that struggled with patience. The problem solving was there, the grit was there, just your typically impatient late teenager! I recall the moments where I thought I was playing Splinter Cell with sneaking up on bad guys and robbing them of their lives, the head on fights with the mobs like these pictured below and the bosses all in the same. I recall the semi-horror feel presented throughout and the suspense when moving amidst the darkness in navigating interesting sections of Arkham Asylum that were detailed and intricate, with a story plot making me feel as though I was right there. These moments created throughout the game reinforced wanting to continue forward through. These moments of beautiful design of both characters and the environment, the technical elements, the gratification from succeeded in a fight or tough area, and the ability to practice and grow all fed into me slowing down and enjoying the game bit by bit! These pieces above were clearly far more valued beyond the anger and frustration that I had felt at points from having to repeat a boss or navigating mob heavy areas with a variety of mechanics over and over and over again. This is definitely a game that I would recommend to anyone that is looking for an almost 15 year old video game that seriously set the bar of its time for graphics, complexity, puzzles, and a variety of other elements. The added bonus is that if you love Batman like I do, you will appreciate all of the work that was put in - setting aside whether or not it fit the script PERFECTLY - as nothing is perfect. This game will not fall shy of expectations and will leave you more patient than you ever thought that you could be. Like Batman who has always needed to be patient in order to save those who matter and to protect his home, Gotham City Cheers, Stephen Lenz #videogaming #videogames #throwback #patience #motivation

This is Clover, a side-scrolling action game. You can play it on hoani.net/clover (it's free). I first got into engineering because I liked making games in high school. This is the first game I've made in 11 years. My goal is to make four games this year; so with the end of Q1, I'm releasing Clover. If you don't like blood or horses, this isn't the game for you. #gamedesign #Q1 #goals #stopreadingtagsandplaythegame
