There's a problem with sports gaming. It's a monopoly. If you want to play football, you play Madden. You want to play basketball, there's NBA 2K. There are no alternatives. When there's a monopoly, it produces mediocrity and complacency. When there's variety and competition, that's where the fun is. That's what players really want at the end of the day. EA did a lot of things right with NBA Live 19 when it came to thinking outside the box, being creative, and innovative. If NBC can put in a huge bid to get the NBA TV Rights back after 20+ years, why can't EA bring back the NBA (They still have NBA rights)? EA needs to bring the NBA back and I wrote a 15 page product pitch explaining "what", "why", and how. It's a guarantee to make EA money and have very good replay value. NBA Live used to be the king of NBA gaming. EA used to run the basketball market with NBA Street Vol 1/2 & NBA Live. Make sports gaming great again, and end this monopoly s***. (2024© Copyright. One of my favorite TikTok series: The Resume Rewrite I started doing these in 2021, after I thought to myself "What's something everyone struggles with but no one really talks about?" Resume. Bullet. Points. Why are they are so hard to write!!! "Good" writers (usually people born into higher socioeconomic status homes) might have better bullet points than others. But that doesn't mean they're a more qualified candidate, it just means they're a better writer. So, I created the Resume Rewrite series where I took jobs that people requested (call center, hairdresser, fast food worker, etc.) and "rewrote" the bullet points to be more flavorful, quantitative, and specific. When Chat GPT came out, I sort of moonlighted it with the assumption that AI would now fill this role. But, as it turns out, it hasn't! People still love my Resume Rewrite series and are requesting new jobs for me to cover all the time. #ContentCreator #CareerAdvice #Resume

Career tip of the day: I see SO many resumes for jobs where the applicant isn’t even close to being qualified. For example, if I’m hiring an Associate Media Director for a media buying agency, I am looking for someone who is one level below that job. If it’s for a pharma brand, I’m looking for someone who has been a Senior Media Planner or Buyer for another pharmaceutical company because there are a lot of industry specific regulations. If the job is in NYC, I’m going to start looking at local candidates first because they could start immediately (or with 2 weeks notice) and don’t need time to relocate. So many people apply to jobs thinking, “I like media. I like NYC. I like the pharma industry” and apply without checking any boxes. Once someone applied to a senior management role in the entertainment industry and I kid you not, their own pro experience was as an ice cream barista. Jobs may be aspirational to you but to most companies, they want eggs, milk and butter. Don’t bring them cheese, chicken and avocados. 🥑

I saw this TikTok the other day, and it captured the reality of the job market perfectly. Some jobs expect people to have 5+ years of experience, yet don’t offer opportunities for growth or entry-level positions to gain that experience. It’s a frustrating cycle—how are people supposed to get experience if no one gives them a chance? I don't know who needs to hear this but... Producer ≠ Editor A producer's job is simple: Make sure the product gets made. Producers are not your editors. Producers are not your copywriters. Producers are not your social media managers. A producers job is to make sure that responsibilities are dolled out, tasks get accomplished on time, budgets don't get broken, and the show is completed. As a producer I spend 75% of my day: -Updating production schedules -Checking in with creative teams -Scheduling locations for filming -Building the foundation of the brand -Reviewing copy/videos/images for publish -Communicating between the CEO and the rest of the team The other 25% of my day I may: -Hop into an edit to help -Write a script outline -Publish last minute social posts -Put out any fires that come up I see WAY too many posts looking to hire a producer to edit their content. You're wasting your money paying someone to do the wrong job. #production #producer #content

You’re getting replies back…”thank you for applying, but we are not moving forward with your application.” You get ghosted. You might get a few freelance gigs from former co-workers or bosses. You used up your savings and struggling to pay bills. Some of you start to think maybe it’s time to start thinking of other options. You’re not alone. We’re all on the same boat. We share the same frustrations. We share the same struggles. Which is why we have to push each other to hang in there and stay strong.
