Whenever I go researching about video ideas, I often see this advice: take inspiration from your competitors and add your own twist to it. Here is one effective way to do that: 1. Pick a commonly accepted notion in your industry. For example, the idea that short-form content is king in B2B marketing. 2. Challenge that narrative with your SME’s perspective. Ask your SMEs to explain why this belief isn’t the full story. For example, your SME might say, short-form content is effective, but it’s not always the best for nurturing leads. 3. Use data-backed insights to show specific cases where the popular opinion falls short and offer alternatives. This is an easy hack to add originality to your content and offer unique insights that stand out in your industry.
