At #GEAerospace, we are deeply committed to building a more #sustainable future in the aviation industry. This is underscored by the CFM RISE program, which aims to reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by more than 20% compared with today’s most efficient aircraft engines. To discover more about RISE engines and how #GEAerospace is working towards a net-zero future for aviation watch here. #GEAerospace #Aviation
Paid content by GE Aerospace #ad GE Aerospace is at the forefront of the aviation industry's quest for net zero emissions. At the Singapore Airshow, they showcased the Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engines (RISE) program, aimed at reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by over 20% compared to today’s most efficient engines. The RISE program features open fan engine architecture and weight-saving materials. GE Aerospace also works on pioneering initiatives like using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and innovative engine cleaning methods. While challenges remain, the aviation industry still remains focused on reducing its carbon footprint and achieving less emissions by the mid-2030s and beyond.

🇪🇺 Together we are stronger, and the EU's Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking innovation programme is proof! The Clean Aviation Joint Undertaking unites academia, research and business in the common goal of innovating aerospace decarbonisation technologies and maturing them in time for aviation to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. Last Tuesday, at the 2024 Clean Aviation Forum, I participated in a panel about the EU Green Deal and route-to-market towards carbon neutral aviation. Aviation has a key role to play in supporting the European Green Deal, and the expected benefit of new technologies is to deliver net greenhouse gas reductions of no less than 30%, compared to today's aircraft models. During the panel, we discussed how funding provided by Clean Aviation, in addition to other EU and national funding frameworks, have been key to our industry's development of demonstrators that are being used to evaluate, mature and validate new decarbonisation technology. Innovation is critical to ensuring that Europe remains a world leader in aerospace. But it also brings so much more: these technological advances permit European companies to gain a competitive edge, attract new investments and create job opportunities. 🤝 Airbus Airbus Helicopters Airbus Defence and Space Clean Aviation Axel Krein

In collaboration with AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics), SARES (International Sustainable Aviation and Energy Research Society) and EATS (Electric Aircraft Technologies Symposium), two panel sessions will be organised as part of the AIAA Aviation Forum which will take place from 29 July to 2 August in Las Vegas, USA. The panel session entitled "DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN SUSTAINABLE AVIATION" will take place on Wednesday, 31 July from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Caesars Forum, Las Vegas. Reasons to attend the AIAA Aviation Forum: - The AIAA AVIATION Forum is the only aviation event that covers the entire integrated spectrum of aviation business, research, development, and technology. - There will be over 1,000 technical presentations on the latest innovations in more than 20 aviation and aerospace research topics. - The speakers and panelists participating in the plenary and Forum 360 sessions are proven business leaders and innovators. They are thought leaders with their finger on the pulse of the aviation industry. Make connections and broaden your perspective. - The Forum will bring together nearly 5,000 attendees from around the world, representing hundreds of government, academic and private institutions. The aerospace and aviation industry is rapidly evolving to unlock new opportunities for more sustainable flight in the push for net zero. From the changing use of fuel and fuelling to advanced technologies and increased operational automation. As the industry undergoes rapid change, it will need to recruit new talent and develop new skills in areas such as low carbon technologies, as well as sustainable manufacturing practices. A well-managed transition will be critical to retaining the skills that maintain current transport systems, while introducing new skills for future mobility. This investment in upskilling and retraining scored second in the list of reported accelerating factors for future business success.
