Dr. Ingrid Waldron, Professor and HOPE Chair in Peace and Health at McMaster University's Global Peace and Social Justice Program, along with Dr. Zobia Jawed, a Senior Research Fellow in the same program and a Faculty Member at the Faculty of Engineering, is leading a research team seeking participation from Black community members residing in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area for a study aimed at enhancing capacity for climate change preparedness. We are now recruiting for our third workshop, to be held on Saturday, April 20th in Mississauga (time/place to be confirmed). We express our gratitude to our partners and collaborators for their invaluable support in this project. @enrichproject @cbtu_on_canada @toenviro @mcmasteru @waldroningrid Eligible participants must be Black individuals residing in the Mississauga area. Participation will involve attending a three-hour climate change preparedness workshop session, which will be audio-recorded for research purposes. As a token of our appreciation, all participants will receive an honorarium of $200. Refreshments and a catered lunch will be provided. Janice and the conveyors a question: Am I assumed to be BLACK or a PERSON OF COLOUR. Reason being, Climate Change affects us all irrespective of Race, Colour or Creed or Ethnic Origin or Gender.
