As our dependence on global communication and energy supply has never been greater, it is crucial to understand the cables' vulnerability. This understanding is a prerequisite for our ability to protect them better. Here's what we can do according to Claus Leth Bak, professor of electrical energy technology at Aalborg University: 👉 Increase monitoring and protection of our undersea cables. 👉 Strengthen cooperation between authorities and private actors to ensure a quick response to damages. 👉 Invest in technology and infrastructure that can minimize the risk of cable breaks.
