An important takeaway from Timken's approach to Lean Transformation is that an infrastructure needs to be provided for acheiving a culture change. This has been effectvely highlighted by Robert Schoenberger in a recent IndustryWeek article. What caught my attention is that a Help Chain is required to escalate problem solving based on resolution time by providing technical and managerial support. This itself sends out a message that the organization is serious about continuous improvement! #lean #A3problemsolving

Sometimes you aren't going to be given a polished product. It's going to take time and effort to put the final touches on a process, program, procedure. In today's dynamic work environment, merely surviving the process isn't enough. It's about thriving by continuously improving the process. Why settle for mediocrity when we can strive for excellence? By focusing on process improvement, we enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and ultimately drive greater success for our teams and organizations. Embracing a culture of continuous improvement empowers us to innovate, adapt to change, and deliver superior results. Let's shift our mindset from mere survival to proactive enhancement, because the journey towards excellence is where true success lies. #ProcessImprovement #Excellence #ContinuousImprovement

Thank you, IndustryWeek, for sharing this insightful article. The concept of Lean as a lifestyle choice is truly disruptive. It revolutionizes the way people interact and tackle challenges. Witnessing the positive change in people is both exciting and refreshing. At the Maryland World Class Consortia, Ltd. Lean Peer Group meetings, Dave Rizzardo and I regularly discuss this topic. #lean #leanleadership #industryweek #leanmaryland #mwcc #mdmfg
