DANGER - You may want to steer clear of the entire airline industry... Let's examine why the #airline industry is the newest member of my "no touch investment list". 👉 Boeing (#BA) is a train wreck right now. Two dead #whistleblowers who made very serious safety allegations about the company. 👉 At the same time Boeing is a warm pile of doo-doo, #UnitedAirlines has had dozens of flight mishaps. 👉 The US Government denied the #jetblue #spiritairlines merger, and despite the companies' efforts, it's been called off. 👉 Which leads me to conclude that these smaller airlines are now stopped out of growing via acquisition by the federal government. Sad for consumers. These smaller airlines really need to be folded into other airlines that have better company cultures. Sadly #jetblue culture is horrendous with horrible disconnect between management and on the ground employees that deal with customers. And clearly #united has some internal issues with their airplane safety checks and SOP's for planes between flights. So bad are those issues the CEO had to issue a major letter to customers and shareholders.... What does that tell you about the trainwreck that will most likely be their next quarterly earnings results? I can't get clarity on any of this. And there are plenty of other investment opportunities out there in sectors that are not plagued with all of this. So for now, #airline industry, you will be joining the cable industry on my No Touch list. My insights go deeper than this so join my newsletter if you want to know more of our analysis of the airline industry. ▶ https://lnkd.in/gZbZxsQ9 Or know someone who is interested in this topic? Title: Navigating Turbulence: Global Crossing Airlines' Impressive Revenue Growth Amid Challenges In the recent Q3 earnings call, Global Crossing Airlines Holdings Ltd. showcased a striking 133.8% surge in revenue, hitting $12.3 million. This significant growth, primarily fueled by their strategic expansion of route networks and the addition of two new Boeing 737-400 aircraft, highlights a bold move in the competitive aviation sector 🛫. Despite these gains, the airline isn't without its challenges. A wider net loss of $11.3 million was reported, primarily due to escalating fuel costs and increased salaries—a common hurdle in scaling operations. However, the improved load factor of 83.3% up from 78.5% indicates a robust demand and efficient capacity utilization 📈. As the airline looks to the future with plans to further expand its fleet and routes, it's a classic example of how growth, though often accompanied by growing pains, sets the stage for long-term success. 🧐 What do you think are the key strategies airlines should focus on in these dynamic times? Can the aggressive expansion outweigh the short-term financial losses? #aviation #finance #businessgrowth #GlobalCrossingAirlines #revenuegrowth #investment #airlinemanagement

In a post-pandemic world defined by large-scale manufacturer delays and skyrocketing demand for aircraft, companies that lease aircraft to commercial airlines on a contract basis are undeniably in a strong position from a profitability perspective. In many ways, the aircraft leasing industry has never been in a stronger position than it is today, with carriers from across the globe needing aircraft to expand, but not having the ability to get jets from manufacturers for years. As a result, aircraft lessors have become the industry's most attractive companies, and everyone from private equity firms to some large, financially powerful #airlines are looking to cash in on this lucrative opportunity. #aircraftleasing #aviation #leadingtheway https://lnkd.in/e-d_f8Tm

🗞 Exclusive: IAT Leasing and Atalaya Capital Management close A330-200s with Hawaiian Airlines Announcing deals is not the same as closing them. And Farnborough International week is a standing reminder that all too often, even the best-executed aircraft deals are later dissolved quietly behind closed doors. For the past two months, IAT Leasing has been signing off on transactions with different equity backers, reflecting where business is getting done as asset owners grapple with supply chain-induced delays and higher-for-longer interest rates. The Dublin-based lessor has purchased two Airbus A330-200s on short-term lease to Hawaiian Airlines from ORIX Aviation with funding from new equity partner, Atalaya Capital Management. IAT’s A330s closed the same week that asset manager Blue Owl Capital announced its purchase of Atalaya Capital Management for $450 million. Aircraft lease and financing update July 08, 2024 Turkish Airlines Reaches Compensation Agreement Over Pratt & Whitney PW1100G Engine Issues Turkish Airlines announced that it had reached a compensation agreement with International Aero Engines. The agreement will compensate the airline for the operational disruptions and losses incurred due to the long-standing issues with Pratt & Whitney engines being utilized on the carrier's A320 family aircraft. We anticipate that GIFT City's robust Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanism will support the growing market for aircraft lease and financing by facilitating efficient international financial transactions. https://lnkd.in/gVfQJyB4
