🧐 Are we truly moving beyond the "skinny" trend? A recent article in the Telegraph highlights the complexities of this issue, and there’s much to explore. Here are some key points to consider: **Real models in ads:** Diverse body types resonate powerfully with audiences. However, it’s important to recognise that while variety adds representation, it can also lead viewers to focus on body differences instead of the fashion itself. 👗 **Fashion as art:** 🖼️ Avant-garde runway looks might not be practical for everyday wear, but they undoubtedly shape the trends we embrace. **Social media’s role:** Engaging in conversations about balancing diversity with a focus on design is essential. It connects the creativity of high fashion with the realities of what people actually wear. Do you believe that featuring diverse models detracts from the fashion, or does it enhance the overall experience? 🤔 Let’s hear your thoughts! 👇 #FashionDebate #Diversity #Inclusivity

The fashion industry does not want you to be stylish. Why? It's simple 😒 Fashion is for everyone, style is only about you. Knowing what suits you means: 😕 You don't need as much clothing overall. 😔 Many items in stores shouldn't have been produced due to quality and purpose issues. 🫣 Not all trends are suitable for you. 🤔 Luxury doesn't always equate to exceptional quality anymore. Brands spend millions convincing us that fashion equals style. They want us to believe that one more trendy item will make us stylish, but that's not entirely true. Trends should complement your style, not define it. However, we often succumb to billion-dollar marketing campaigns telling us we need certain items to look good. Your style journey is lifelong. It's not about reaching a destination but embracing the evolution. My clients often think a few closet checks and shopping trips will lead to their style destination, but it's a continuous journey. The result? ✨ Feel more Confident & radiate it ✨ Trust in your instincts ✨ Worry Less ✨ Discovering the real you through style. not to mention… ✨ Financial savings the rewards are immense. I am amazed how even a 30, 40, or 50-second reel can spark inspiration and learning. I feel privileged to have this role and to be able to guide women in their style journey to level up their lives and careers. Sometimes, one piece of information or an outfit can create significant change. Let's keep the fantastic content and interactions going 🫶🏻 I am looking forward to more meaningful connections with you. 💕 join me! #linkedin #personalbranding #personalstylist #womeninbusiness #professionalwomen

I came across a video on YouTube showing American celebrities in their expensive outfits, looking very uncomfortable to the extent of having to jump steps because the dress was way too tight. The first question that came to my mind was, why spend heavily on a cloth that does not bring about comfort? Well, I answered my self and the answer is that some people don't dress for comfort but for trends or for societal expectations. What I mean by societal expectation is that some people conform to societal beauty standards so they tend to get validation from the society. Don't because of fashion suffer yourself. Prioritise comfort over trend. I know some people will not agree to this, but comfort is very important when choosing fashion. Next time, go for something more comfortable when choosing a cloth.

𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝? Definitely not me!😎 I understand that many people might lean on the excuse of not having time for fashion, but wait just a minute! Being fashionable and being dressed appropriately are two different things, and that’s a conversation for another day. You might be thinking, “Isn’t it just about wearing clothes?” or “What does ‘dressing appropriately’ even mean?” Well, there are different clothes for different occasions. Believe me, you wouldn’t want to wear a sweatshirt, joggers, and sneakers to a corporate event. The shame wouldn’t let you last an hour, let alone step up to the podium. 😅 Okay, I didn’t plan to say much, but I said all that to remind you that I am a fashion designer who helps women stand out confidently in their outfits. And since it’s Saturday, and we’re not all about formality today (though some folks are buttoned-up every day of the week 🤭), please don’t come for me 😅. I invite you to ask any fashion-related questions you have. I promise to answer them in the simplest terms for your understanding. Just drop your questions in the comments below. Go ahead, ask away, and enjoy your weekend!🤗 P.S. What do you think about my video?🤭 #fashion #Socialsaturday

As someone with a unique perspective from studying both marketing/communications and fashion styling, I find the way we categorize and label trends in the digital era fascinating. In my latest article, I explore how the internet has led to an obsessive need to codify every emerging aesthetic - from "gorpcore" to "clean girl" and beyond. It's an insightful look at this trend taxonomy phenomenon, particularly in the world of fashion. I invite you to give it a read and share your thoughts. Do we take this labeling too far, or does it provide a helpful framework for self-expression and style experimentation? I'm curious to hear your perspectives on this very 2020s phenomenon!
