Traditional Healthcare marketing vs small business healthcare marketing. When I was straight out of MBA, I used the typical traditional marketing techniques of meeting the local doctors and dropping in flyers but it didn't work. Doctor's out of courtesy would meet me, some would ask me for information, few would ask me for plans/flyer to give to their patients while there were few who dangled the carrot of giving me an opportunity by paying pennies. But I did meet some fab doctors too who taught me, encouraged me, gave me the ropes. As for my flyers, well i found them in the dump Even though they were distributed in my own locality my own friend hadn't recived them. Can you beat it. 😅 So I did what most people discouraged me to do. I stopped marketing the traditional way and focused on my work. My work spoke for itself. My work made me connect to people across the globe. In hindsight, my journey taught me a valuable lesson: sometimes, the most effective marketing strategy is simply doing great work and letting it speak for itself. While traditional methods have their place, embracing innovation and focusing on delivering exceptional care has allowed me to connect with people far beyond my local community. As I continue to grow in this ever-evolving field, I'm reminded that authenticity, passion, and dedication are the cornerstones of success.
