Inspiring conversation with Zack Kass and Rachel Wilkes about how AI is transforming healthcare! 👇 AI is starting to reshape healthcare, which will enable significantly improved health outcomes and lower barriers to access and costs along patients’ journey (i.e. diagnosis, prognosis and treatment) 🚀 we are only at the beginning of a breakthrough that will transform healthcare and deliver immense benefits. From my perspective, it is key to understand how the AI-powered shift is enabling patients to access quality reliable healthcare 🌊, to be transparent about AI application overseen by humans and its limitations 🔎, and to manage ethically and responsibly the polarity between healthcare benefits and risks / threats ⚖ Very interesting discussion with Zack about general risks of AI, now and in near future: 💡 Good enough effect: potential decrease of human intellectual ability over time as a result of being served well enough by AI and not exercising skills like critical thinking. 💡 Dehumanization, potentially, if people preferred companionship with technology and reduced interactions with other humans. 💡 Identity displacement due to rapid and traumatic changes affecting job and personal identity. Personally, I think that identity displacement is major issue already in today's world, and AI impact will only exacerbate the challenge.
