A few weeks ago, amid a 300% increase in requests for our support which exhausted our pilot funding, and the wider societal pressure we all feel to move faster and do more, The Decelerator decided to pause. We used this pause to ask ourselves: How can we fulfil our mission to help civil society navigate endings without exhausting our financial and human resources? In light of some promising funding news, and some time together as a team, we now feel confident that we can deliver high-quality support through the Hotline from December into 2025 while remaining within our human and budgetary limits. 📞 Hotline Availability in December 2024: In case you’re new to our work, a quick reminder that The Hotline offers free, confidential and non-judgement space for leaders to reflect on a possible or planned ending and their role within it. The essential information for December 2024 is: 🗓️ Hotline Sign-up Open From: 25th November 📅 Call Dates: 2nd–19th December ⏳ Availability: 10 one-hour confidential coaching sessions. These will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis ✍ Sign up form here: https://lnkd.in/ey3x-et5 Starting in 2025, The Decelerator Hotline will test a new rhythm, based on everything we’ve noticed and learnt during our pilot in 2023-2024. More on that in our latest Substack: https://lnkd.in/e-mqGgum

In this blog, I reflect on the power of Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting (CLA), a novel framework widely used in #USAID platforms to help organizations become learning organizations. In my view, #CLA has inherent properties that can help organizations address one of their major challenges: implementing evidence-based programming. I also propose that blending less popular quantitative survey methods, such as #LQAS, #PBS, and #Bayesian estimates, with the CLA approach can be an effective monitoring and evaluation (#M&E) tool, particularly in #publichealth programs.
