I'll never underestimate or take for granted the power of friendships at work. We generally can't choose our colleagues so when you're able to turn a colleague into a friend, it's definitely a bonus! Peter Lewis - my props partner in crime - making my days all the better since 2020

One of the biggest lesson that I have had to learn was that if you wanted to be that person that people wanted to work with you have to treat them the way that they want to be treated. Everyone has always preached to treat others the way you want to be treated, you are unique and the person that you want on your team is not you and they do not want the same things. You have to take the time and understand the personality type that they are and act accordingly.

💪 It’s not about having a sharper friend 🗡️; it’s about having a stronger friend. 🛡️ In life, just like in battle, it's the shield that protects us, not the strongest sword. Surrounding ourselves with supportive and resilient people is crucial. They help us navigate challenges and keep us grounded when the going gets tough. Let’s focus on building relationships that empower us and provide the strength we need to face our battles. Remember, it's not about competition; it's about collaboration and support. Who’s your shield? Tag them below and let them know how much you appreciate their strength! 🙌 #NambiarAdarshNarayananPV #Motivation #SupportSystem #StrongerTogether #Friendship

As a former workaholic, this was a great message from service on Sunday. Always in constant pursuit of productivity some things I've changed over the years... *When my "shift" is done it's done. I focus on family, personal goals, etc. It's counter-intuitive, but I come back to work refreshed each day when I do this. This is a huge part of Chik-Fil-A's success. *Disable Notifications. I really try to focus on the task at hand and check texts, slack, teams, emails, etc. when I'm done. https://lnkd.in/gJ9V_ERz

If you know me, you know I have a love/hate relationship with diversity work. Recently, I was asked to lean into the hate side of that relationship. I'm proud of myself for holding my ground.... I just couldn't betray myself, not even for the money! Do you know how hard it is to stand in front a group and you, too, are thinking, "This is not going to produce anything worthwhile"? Wanna know why I said no? See the link to the blog post in comments!

Even rock legends have moments of self-doubt. James Hetfield of Metallica recently shared a powerful moment of vulnerability, reminding us that insecurity can affect anyone. Including me. Including you. 🫵 The key takeaway? The importance of supportive people in your life and on your team. When facing challenges, remember that your colleagues, friends, and loved ones are there to lift you up. 🤘 #NothingElseMatters" Let's foster work environments where we support each other through our struggles and celebrate our strengths. #OpenAndHonest #ProfessionalGrowth #Teamwork #MentalHealth"

Hello Good Morning Team!!!!! is Empanthy and sympathy is important ????? Empathy and sympathy are both ways of relating to the feelings of others, but they differ in depth and engagement. Empathy involves understanding and sharing the feelings of another person. It means putting yourself in their shoes and experiencing their emotions as if they were your own. This can lead to a deeper emotional connection and often encourages supportive responses. Sympathy, on the other hand, involves recognizing someone else's feelings and expressing care or concern for them, but without fully sharing in those emotions. It’s more about acknowledging someone's distress rather than experiencing it alongside them. In summary, empathy is about shared feelings and connection, while sympathy is about compassion and support from a distance.
