Could animals (specifically dogs) be the answer to effective advertising? 🐩 Throwing it back to this Doritos ad from 2019, which unsurprisingly scores exceptionally across all 3 of System1's Test Your Ad metrics. This ad combines 2 of my favorite things, crisps and dogs.💗 Not only is this ad full of cute dogs to make it memorable, its also very funny. With over 36% of UK households having a four legged furry family member (that's about 13.5 million dogs!) It's no shock that there is a direct correlation between animals featuring in ads, and the viewers emotional response. In fact, it has been found that the inclusion of animals in advertising resulted in the highest levels of emotional response AND attention. 👏 Animals and characters can also make excellent fluent devices for a brand - think of the Andrex puppies - they have been used over and over again consistently in advertising and packaging and still keep maximum 'aww-factor' time and time again. 🐶 #pretesting #system1 #adtesting
Are there any rubbish ads featuring dogs? 🤔
I know we sometimes joke about “put a dog in the Ad” but the data really does support it. As you say all those animal related mascots can’t be wrong!!
trained animals that can sustain commercial shooting are rare and expensive. there's a lot going on in creating stories based on animals, from planning to finishing.
More of a puppy-monkey-baby kinda guy
Wonderful DBAs Although choose wisely or work for Andrex :) The story of the Andrex puppy is also fabulous. Kind of random. Just a trial in some tests the day of shooting because the original shooting plan was not possible that day. And the rest is marketing history ... :)
so cute!!
Paw Marketing if you ask me.
Dogs AND humor - love it!
