Something's fishy! Details matter in advertising. Obviously. As an avid boater and fisherman, when I see people fishing in ads, which is common, most of the time the rods aren't being held properly, the reels are upside-down, or the type of tackle is wrong for the environment. So instead of wondering which side effect riddled drug I'm going to ask my doctor about, or where my next dream vacation takes me, my brain goes to critiquing the person fishing. When creating a physical environment in your advertising, tackle the details because they matter. You don't want people to think your ad smelt. #advertising #medicalmarketing #pharmamarketing #creative #TVcommercials

You know what crushes creativity? 😑 Throwing your toys out of the pram after one 30 second spot (that nobody outside of marketing cared about) so no one has the balls to do anything different again. I was half expecting the same uproar to defend the rights of dead people in the Lynx spot. Maybe that’s coming this week. Looking forward to a risk adverse second half of 2024 😉 #marketing #advertising

Why do we trust animals in advertising? 🐶 Do you ever notice the amount of animals being used in advertising? Animals have been used for a very very long time in marketing and advertising. From the Aflac duck to the Budweiser Clydesdales. We all remember many iconic animals being used to influence us across all advertising channels. Animals provide us with a sense of trust but also can be used to invoke other emotions. They can make us feel joy as well as sorrow. They can communicate so much with just how they make certain gestures and sounds. Animals can also invoke feelings of strength and aggression. Think about how many cars are named after fierce animals such as the Dodge Viper or the Ford Mustang. Animals also act as logos among major brands and corporations. Think of the iconic bull being used for the Lamborghini brand. The bull represents strength and precision as well as elegance. My question for you is do you have a favorite animal that is used in marketing and advertising? If so comment below and let everyone know! #Branding #Marketing #DigitalMarketing #Animals #ContentMarketing #Drew’sMarketingmusings #Brand #DigitalMarketing #DigitalContent #Socialmedia #Socialmediacontent

What on earth do squirrels, humans and dogs have to do with marketing? On Sunday, I took the pup to Goodwoof. For those that haven’t been, it’s a dog festival at Goodwood. Great day out. As we were walking from the car to the event, there were a number of dog fact signs and directional signage. Great for customer experience. When we got to the woods we found the one below. ‘Squirrels’ Talk about knowing your audience. The context and messaging needs for you audience are always key. If we break it down, there were three user groups for the sign. The squirrels - their requirement was to know which way they could safely walk through the woods as well as being able to find the location of other squirrels. The dogs - squirrels are always fun to chase, so the dogs requirement is to know where they can find the squirrels. The humans - they need to understand which direction their dog is about to dart off in. Getting to know your audience and their needs is key to your marketing efforts. #contextmarketingconsultancy #contextmarketing
