🚨 Case Study: Using Geospatial Data to Assess Multi-Family Housing Potential in Madison, WI 🚨 https://lnkd.in/eKirp-UN We teamed up with Neutral to assess the potential of parcels in Madison, WI, using Vanilla modular architectural system. Neutral’s concept focuses on creating flexible, modular housing solutions that adapt to different sites, making it easier to develop in diverse urban environments. Habidatum's role was to identify the best parcels for this approach using detailed zoning analysis. Project Highlights: ☑️ Zoning & Parcel Analysis: Cleaned up zoning data, identified underused parcels, and mapped transit-oriented development (TOD) zones to find where modular designs could have the most impact. ☑️ Flexible Design Evaluation: Assessed parcel dimensions and potential building footprints to match Neutral’s adaptable modular system to each site. ☑️ Acquisition Strategy: Combined ownership data with area median income (AMI) insights to prioritize properties that align with affordability goals. Results: We delivered tailored GIS data, modular buildable footprints, and a prioritized list of high-potential properties. This project allowed us to refine our expertise in assessing real estate opportunities, bringing fresh insights into the flexible development approach that Neutral is advancing. Stay tuned for more updates! https://lnkd.in/eKirp-UN

A City Information Model (CIM) 🏪 serves as a digital portrayal of a city or urban area, aiming to offer a comprehensive depiction of its physical, social, economic, and environmental facets. This integrated 3D model facilitates the visualization, analysis, and management of diverse urban data and information. CIMs find utility across various domains, including urban planning and design, infrastructure management, emergency response, and citizen engagement. They amalgamate disparate data sources like geospatial information, building information models (BIM), real-time sensor data, and social media feeds to construct a holistic city view. Key attributes of a CIM encompass: Integration of Geospatial Data: CIMs amalgamate diverse geospatial data sources to furnish a comprehensive city view, encompassing physical infrastructure, land use, and spatial relationships. 3D Visualization: CIMs offer a three-dimensional representation of the city, enabling users to scrutinize and analyze its physical features and infrastructure. Data Analysis and Simulation: CIMs facilitate the analysis and simulation of varied urban scenarios and data, encompassing traffic flow, air quality, and energy consumption. Collaboration and Communication: CIMs furnish a collaborative platform for communication among stakeholders engaged in city planning, design, and management. In urban planning and management, CIMs are gaining significance, especially as cities worldwide grapple with challenges like rapid urbanization, climate change, and resource constraints. They aid cities in making informed decisions regarding their development, enhancing infrastructure and service efficiency, and elevating citizens' quality of life.
