Part 2; EMPLOYERS let's talk about the stress that work can bring - Encouraging employers to discourage excessive over-houring could and can be achieved by highlighting the long-term benefits. Employers could and should recognise that overworking staff can lead to burnout, decreased productivity, and higher turnover rates. Higher turnover = poor morale with more spend to the business on training, and fewer hours used productively. Implementing clear policies that set boundaries on working hours and promoting a culture that values work-life balance can result in a more engaged, efficient and happy workforce. Additionally, regular check-ins and feedback sessions can help ensure employees are not feeling overwhelmed. Rather, that they are feeling supported and are maintaining a sustainable workload. Employers; don’t assume that everyone knows what a healthy balance is – we all have a moral duty to educate. So many have been cultured to think that 50+ hours a week is okay (listen up hospitality business) but it just simply isn’t. Personally, I regard 45 hrs as the absolute max that anyone should be pushing themselves toward. How else do you fit in really living; relationships, hobbies, passions, self-growth, life-admin?

Employers should focus on instilling freedom and boundaries in the workplace to avoid employee burnout and boost productivity and retention. Here are some ways organizations can proactively promote work-life balance and escape the toxicity promoted by hustle culture: • Connect with employees’ personal and professional goals. Encouraging employees to share their life and career goals ensures that their desires outside the workplace are acknowledged and supported. Employers can organize frequent check-ins to discuss employee progress and provide resources to help where applicable. • Allow flexibility in work schedules and execution. A hybrid work model gives employees the freedom to choose where they want to work, depending on their preferences. If an employee is showing signs of burnout, including disengagement, reduced performance, and cynicism, encouraging them to take a paid day off or work from home can be the recharge they need. • Focus on performance, not hours. Working longer hours at the expense of sleep, time with loved ones, and other life administrative tasks, does not equate to better performance and productivity. Performance should be measured based on how the results produced match up to clearly outlined expectations. https://lnkd.in/gycRmxUu 👉 Follow us and stay updated on all things HR: https://lnkd.in/gecgbCu8 #HRSupport #SmallBusinessGrowth #FreshHRInsights #HumanResources #BusinessSupport #GoldCoastBusiness #GoldCoastHR #HRGoldCoast #GoldCoastSmallBiz #GoldCoastProfessionals #HRConsultingGoldCoast #GoldCoastEntrepreneurs #GoldCoastNetworking #GoldCoastLeadership #GoldCoastInnovation #HRServicesGoldCoast #GoldCoastStartups #GoldCoastManagement #FreshHRGoldCoast #TeamGoldCoast

Hi Dear Connections, Few days back I came across this question on Linked in. Regarding, How could a company/employer can provide a “work life balanced” working culture for their employees ? As a Human Resources Exec/Talent Acquisition, Top 3 things that could be considered on both sides will be 1. Open Communication for allow both parties to create a conducive environment where employees can voice concerns and seek accommodations without fear. Whereby, employer able to identify employees needs and understand them. It shows a supportive management. 2. Promote Health and Wellbeing, which is both physical and mental health. As a Employer always be aware of employees health, allow to take time off or short break from the work. This allows employees to work in a peaceful environment and the results will be reflected. 3. Offer Flexibile Work Mode, employees are able to work remotely from home or anywhere, and flex-hours. Employees able to manage their personal commitments in between work. This may help employees to reduce commute time and expenses as well. And this might help them to improve their productivity. On my opinion, a healthy work-life balance leads to higher employee engagement, lower turnover rate and higher productivity. #worklifebalance #worklife #humanresource #HRM #recruiter #opinion #supportiveemployer

Our modern workplace is unique, with four different generations. In conversations with hiring managers from top companies, I've found that many are concerned about integrating Generation Z. This generation often seeks flexible work schedules, higher salaries, rapid promotions, and frequent time off. Furthermore, statistics show that Generation Z is experiencing high levels of stress and burnout. As a society, we often stick to familiar workplace practices, but it's time to consider new approaches. Companies need to develop operational and wellness strategies that meet both organizational and employee needs. This requires a comprehensive review of your business model and human resources practices. #differentgenrations #generationz #wellnessstrategy #flexibleschedules #employeewellbeing #workplacewellness
