Support is Available for Survivors of GBV – You Are Not Alone Please remember that you are not alone. There are organizations like She-Hive Association Lesotho that offer support, guidance, and resources to help you heal and regain control of your life. If you feel ready to take the next step, know that seeking help is your choice. If you decide to pursue criminal charges, you can begin by visiting your local police station, where you'll be directed on how to proceed. From there, you'll be guided to the hospital where you can receive critical medical care. This includes emergency contraceptives, post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) to prevent HIV, and treatment for any injuries sustained. It’s important to take care of yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally, and you deserve all the care and protection available to you. Whether you choose to pursue legal action or not, please go to the hospital for the medical support you need including therapy. Your safety and well-being matter. Reach out, take that first step, and know that there are people ready to stand by you every step of the way. #YouAreNotAlone #GBVSupport #TakeTheFirstStep #16daysofactivism

This #WorldDrugDay, we demand human rights-based policies that prioritize harm reduction and support for people who use drugs, rather than punitive measures. This approach treats people with dignity, and offers opportunities to connect them with health services and care for HIV, HCV and more. Unfortunately, harm reduction remains underfunded and inaccessible for too many people around the world, as this report from our allies at Harm Reduction International makes clear: https://lnkd.in/eCUStYdn #SupportDontPunish

For over two decades, the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) has been a global leader in saving lives and strengthening health systems. Through bipartisan leadership, PEPFAR has: ✅ Provided lifesaving treatment to over 20 million people ✅ Prevented millions of babies from being born with HIV ✅ Built resilience in over 50 countries to combat health crises The NAE has long supported the work of PEPFAR, and we believe that both public and private investment in life-saving assistance is required. With its reauthorization deadline approaching in March, now is a good time to urge Congress to support PEPFAR. We have a letter ready to go: https://lght.ly/j50nn3a #PEPFAR #GlobalHealth

On #WorldAIDSDay, we are reminded of the critical role #safe, #sufficient, and well-#screened blood plays in combating the #HIVAIDS epidemic. Access to safe blood saves lives, particularly for people living with HIV who often require #bloodtransfusions to manage health complications. According to WHO, an estimated 39.9 million people globally were living with HIV in 2023. Africa bears the greatest burden, with 25.6 million individuals affected—20.8 million in eastern and southern Africa and 4.8 million in western and central Africa. At CoBA, we advocate for robust blood safety policies and equitable access to blood services across Africa. Together, we can ensure that no life is lost due to unsafe or insufficient blood supplies. #WorldAIDSDay #BloodSafety #HealthEquity #CoBA
