#coal should not be a dirty word, it is the backbone of Queensland’s economy and as I highlight in Des Houghton’s article for The Courier Mail today, our coal helps make the steel that will build the infrastructure for the 2032 Olympic Games! Articles like this come off the back of fantastic work by Coal Australia, Jobs For Mining Communities and residents of Queensland speaking out in support of our industry. Let’s keep speaking up in 2025 right across Australia 🇦🇺 https://lnkd.in/gDFPkrPC
The one point I agreed with them was that all coal-powered plants in Australia should be shut down - yes they should they are dirty, inefficient, costly and outdated and should have been replaced with modern High Energy Low Emissions (HELE) coal-fired types long ago. Coal-fired plants also have the option to make biofuels from the algae that can be produced in the flue gas emission points that could be used for onsite vehicles or potentially mining activities for those adjacent to coal mines.
Seriously, billions and millions of years ago, all those trees n stuff gave their lives for our way of life n the flag do gooders want to stop using coal. Woke fkrs got no appreciation at all for their sacrifice! PS: sorry autocorrect is another woke fkhd
And the royalties will pay for it.
Neither of those Premiers is very bright.
Great article from Des Bought on this morning. Pleased to read all the by-products and commodities that coal produces. The general public and activists wouldn't know this.
Amen to that!

6dThey weren’t in a fool's paradise; they were much worse; they were ideologues who listened to special interest groups who think Queensland stops at Noosa.
