The port of Marseille Fos’ Post

🇨🇳 Mission to China | This week, a delegation of the Marseille Fos Port Authority, headed by the Director of Business Development and Intermodal Solutions, Amal LOUIS, is travelling to China to strengthen economic ties and promote the green maritime corridor between China and Europe via the Mediterranean. 🌟 China is the leading trading partner of the #portofmarseillefos and represents considerable growth potential for logistics flows between Asia and Europe. By developing an optimised maritime corridor, Marseille Fos offers Chinese companies direct access to European markets, reducing transit times and costs compared to northern ports. 📅 From 4 to 6 November, the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille - Port de Marseille Fos will be meeting many of the key players in trade between Europe and China in the France Pavilion at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), and will be stepping up its trade with China. Today in Shanghai, the delegation took part in the Choose France seminar organised by Business France. Amal LOUIS had the honour of opening the round table on ‘the future of maritime transport / towards a reduction in carbon emissions’ to highlight the Port's initiatives in this area, in particular the onshore power supply system (CENAQ - Smoke free stopover) and alternative fuels, demonstrating the commitment of the Port of Marseille Fos to strengthening its trade with China via a sustainable maritime corridor. #portdemarseillefos #CIIE2024 #Shanghai #China  CCI FRANCE CHINE Ambassade de France en Chine
