🎄 CCI FRANCE CHINE CHRISTMAS COCKTAILS🎄 After a very eventful year full of summits, committees, forums and conferences, CCI FRANCE CHINE reunited our valued members to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and holiday celebrations! We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who attended our recent Christmas Cocktails in both Shanghai on December 7th and Beijing on December 12th. In Shanghai, we gathered at the Sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao for an evening filled with laughter, a Buffet de Noël, and the melodies of the Lycée Français de Shanghai choir. Special thanks to our Vice-President Anthony Lopez- Mozziconacci and David Kibler, Deputy Consul General for France in Shanghai for gracing the occasion and their warm words. Then, our community came together in our Beijing office for a heartwarming Christmas Cocktail. We listened to speeches by our Vice President Christine Miles and the French Consul General in Beijing Guillaume ROY and festive songs from the "Chorale Francophone Maurice Ravel de Pékin", before enjoying some French treats. In both cities, it was a true pleasure for the whole CCI FRANCE CHINE Team to host our members on this merry occasion, alongside our VP Anthony Lopez-M, our Board members Christophe Lauras, Jingcheng Li, David Maurizot, Jerome Vanachter, and our Directors Caroline PENARD, Pascal CHEN and Walter JANVIER in Shanghai. 🥂 SOUTH CHINA GALA 2024: Celebrating Six Decades of Sino-French Brilliance 🍾   On December 5th, 2024, CCI FRANCE CHINE successfully hosted another edition of our annual South China Gala, welcoming over 500 distinguished guests, including industry leaders, entrepreneurs, diplomats, and influential figures, at the The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou. The Gala followed the outstanding third edition of the Sino-French GBA Business Summit, promoting and showcasing cross-cultural synergy and cooperation.   This year's gala held special significance as we celebrated 60 years of diplomatic relations between China and France under the theme "Celebrating Six Decades of Sino-French Brilliance." The evening featured insightful speeches, an elegant dîner à la française, a Lucky Draw and an Award Ceremony that highlighted the enduring and beneficial cooperation between our two nations.   We want to reiterate our gratitude to Remi Paul, President of our Chamber and Sylvain FOURRIÈRE, Consul General of France in Guangzhou, for their impactful words. 🍷 BEAUJOLAIS NOUVEAU 2024 CELEBRATION 🍷   CCI FRANCE CHINE was delighted to host the Beaujolais Nouveau 2024 celebrations on November 21st at Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe - 广州天河希尔顿酒店 and November 22nd at Hilton Shenzhen Futian, honouring the first wine of the season just weeks after harvesting its grapes.   The evenings were kicked off with inspiring speeches from Sylvain Fourrière, Consul General of France in Guangzhou, Fabien PACORY, Executive Vice-President of CCI FRANCE CHINE, and Aurélien Duboeuf, Director of Export APAC at Les Vins GEORGES DUBOEUF, who shared their insights and enthusiasm for this long-standing French tradition.   With 250 guests in each city, the celebrations brought together a mix of CCI FRANCE CHINE members, friends, and partners to raise a glass to Beaujolais Nouveau and the upcoming festive season. 💼 French Corporate Day - First Edition 🔵⚪️🔴 On Saturday November 30th, CCI FRANCE CHINE held the first French Corporate Day across Shanghai and Beijing. The morning featured the inaugural French Corporate Attractiveness Forum in Shanghai and online, followed by our annual Job Fairs held simultaneously in both cities. The first edition of the French Corporate Attractiveness Forum was a breakthrough success, attracting over 270,000 online live viewers. Key business leaders of French companies in China discussed the factors driving the success and attractiveness of French companies. Opened by speeches from our East & Central China Director Pascal CHEN, Vice President of Tongji University WU Guangming and Consul General of France in Shanghai Joan Valadou 王度 the Forum was structured around 2 panels. 🔗 China International Supply Chain Expo 2024 🔗   CCI FRANCE CHINE was honoured to participate in the second edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), held in Beijing from November 26th to 30th. Organised by the China International Exhibition Center Group Ltd. and hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CPPIT), this Expo is the world's first national-level exhibition dedicated to supply chain innovation and integration, fostering global collaboration and sustainable development.   On November 25th, our President Remi Paul and General Manager Caroline PENARD attended the Welcoming Banquet, setting the stage for the Expo, followed by our GM’s presence at the Opening Ceremony. The ceremony was marked by an inspiring speech from China’s Vice Premier Han Zheng, emphasizing the importance of resilient, innovative, and green supply chains in today’s interconnected world. Then, our Vice-President Christine Miles and Beijing treasurer Clément BARRAU (白克磊) also participated to the subsequent Expo.   This year’s CISCE highlighted six major themes: advanced manufacturing, clean energy, digital technology, smart vehicles, green agriculture, and healthy living. It brought together over 700 exhibitors from 69 countries, offering a unique platform to foster connections and collaboration between businesses worldwide.   We extend our deepest gratitude to Ren Hongbing, President of CCPIT, for his warm invitation and continued support and to 李文国LI Wenguo, General Representative of CCPIT in France, for coordinating this opportunity for us. ⭐MICHELIN SHANGHAI GUIDE 🍽️ On November 19th, following the highly anticipated announcement of the 2025 The MICHELIN Guide restaurants, our General Manager Caroline PENARD had the honour of attending the prestigious Michelin Guide Gala, a celebration of culinary excellence and innovation. We would love to reiterate our thanks to our Board Member and China CEO Matthew Ye and Michelin's Greater China Region CFO Marine Liang for inviting us to this wonderful event! This year’s guide highlights an impressive 145 restaurants, showcasing the diversity, creativity, and culinary innovation of Shanghai’s vibrant food scene. Notably, the guide reaffirms the top-tier excellence of Ultraviolet by PAUL PAIRET and Taian Table by Stefan Stiller, both retaining their prestigious three Michelin stars. New additions to the guide further demonstrate the city’s dynamic culinary evolution. Local favourite Wu You Xian, celebrated for its exquisite Shanghai dim sum, earned its first Michelin star, while the renowned Fu He Hui rose to two stars. The gala evening was graced by inspiring speeches from Frederick WANG, Director of the Michelin Guide China, who praised Shanghai as a melting pot of culinary artistry where innovation meets deep cultural heritage. The Consul General of France in Shanghai, Joan Valadou 王度 emphasized the enduring bond between France and China, especially in the realm of gastronomy. The event not only celebrated the achievements of restaurants but also recognized the people behind the scenes. Special accolades were awarded, including the Young Chef Award to Liang Qi of Linjiang Banquet, and the Sommelier Award to Liu Xingxing of Maison Lameloise, both of whom exemplify the innovative spirit driving Shanghai’s dining scene forward.
