Rather than deal with the realities of a warming planet..they’d rather malign and threaten meteorologists" Yesterday, I posted about the decision by Unilever to continue to financially support platforms where climate misinformation flourishes. This is important, because brand advertising changes culture. Not just through creative, but also through how they invest their media spend. By funding platforms which allow this content, they're making a mockery of any climate change campaign they've ever run. Advertising funds our media ecosystem - platforms, print and online media, apps and TV. When brands fund information pollution like this, they create funding models for dangerous stories like these which result in harm. This article gives you an idea of the content that Unilever thinks it's OK to incentivise apparently.... My family live in Florida.
