Time to pay it forward: What's the best piece of advice a mentor has given you? #InternationalVolunteerDay
Google, Here's one that's stuck with me: "The strength of your ascent is measured by the hands you extend on your way up."
As a manager you are paid to delivery good results not just good speeches. If you survive long enough in the management role, all your speeches will fall on deaf ears anyways. It’s consistent results that secure your role. Ultimately, success depends on how well you "walk the walk," not how well you "talk the talk."
1) start before you're "ready" 2) whether it's design, writing, or running a business, do NOT do everything or try to communicate everything in your work. Pull back, breathe, and focus on your one or two things and do them really well.
Google, here's mine, and it has worked like magic! Always ask for what you want, because if you don’t, you’ll never know what you’re missing. Whether it’s help, advice, or an opportunity, putting yourself out there is key. The worst that can happen is a ‘no,’ but even that gives you direction. Asking is the simplest way to create possibilities and shape your path.
Google The best advice isn’t always about the advice itself .. it’s about how it makes you feel. Feeling seen, valued, and supported can make all the difference, no matter what the advice is. That’s what truly stays with you.
Give it all U got N never give up! I am proud of U!
I want to share something profound my Google Ads ( Vendors) trainer once told me: "Learning in Google Ads has no end. You can make this your career and bring joy to people by helping them achieve their marketing objectives and grow their businesses. In doing so, you'll create a lasting space in their hearts." This advice has stayed with me, reminding me of the meaningful impact we can have on others' journeys. It's a reminder that success in our field is not just about numbers—it’s about making a difference. Let’s continue to inspire, uplift, and pay it forward. 💙
Thank you for sharing this post and reminding us of the importance of mentorship and paying it forward. One of the best pieces of advice I received from my mentor was to always stay curious and never stop learning. This has helped me to continuously seek out new knowledge and skills, which has been invaluable in both my personal and professional growth. I believe that mentorship is a two-way street, and we can all learn from each other regardless of our age or experience level.

1wThe most valuable advice my mentor has given me is to 'do your best and leave the rest.' He reminded me that 'heaven has never fallen, and it won't fall now' - a powerful reminder to trust in a larger plan and not stress about things beyond my control. In this case, my mentor being my father.
