🚨 Problem: Candidates often face a lack of job transparency with recruitment agencies, as job postings may not include enough details about the role, pay, project duration, or required qualifications. This uncertainty can lead to candidates applying for jobs they may not be qualified for or interested in. ✅ Timbyr's Solution: Timbyr enhances job transparency by giving candidates access to detailed information on the hiring company, job specifics, and the project they’ll be working on. Candidates can see the company name, job description, required skills, pay, and project details like location and duration. This ensures candidates have all the information needed to evaluate if the job aligns with their qualifications, preferences, and availability, allowing them to make more informed decisions when applying.

Your First Impression Matters: Crafting a Winning Outreach 💼 When reaching out to a recruiter, clarity and conciseness are key. Avoid generic greetings and fluff. Instead, focus on delivering a clear, value-driven message. Here's a proven formula: Greeting: "Hello [Recruiter's Name]," 👋 Purpose: "I'm seeking a [Job Title] position." 🎯 Qualifications: "I have experience in [Qualification]." 💪 Salary: "My salary expectation is [Salary]." 💰 Location: "I'm interested in working in [Location]." 📍 Current Package: "My current package is [Current Salary]." 📊 Notice Period: "My notice period is [Notice Period]." 📆 Contact Information: "Email: [Your Email]" 📧 "Tel: [Your Phone Number]" 📞 Closure: "Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, [Your Name]." 😊 By following this structure, you demonstrate efficiency, respect, and professionalism. Now, let's discuss how to approach recruiters on LinkedIn. 🔗

Do you know you can hire smartly by doing the below? Recently, I got talking with a friend who is coincidentally a customer service manager like myself and we spoke at length which made me come up with the conclusions below. There are some customer service managers earning over 2million naira monthly and as a recruiter hiring for that role or any other with 8 to 12years of experience, it would be nice if the monthly net, other perks are well spelt out while posting the job, this would reduce your stress of interviewing people that would not eventually stay after getting to the final round of interview and being told the offer is 250k for the role of the customer service manager. If you feel stating the pay for the role while posting the job won't be ideal, once the candidate applies and you are good with his/her experiences, quickly send them a form upon acknowledgement stating clearly the amount for the role asking them if they are comfortable with it and wish to continue with the interview process , this will certainly reduce the numbers to be interviewed, saves time, saves energy, productive man-hours are also increased. About 3 or 4 years ago, I got to the final interview stages for the roles of customer experience manager and there I was told that even though my experience met their expectations but the budget for the roles were 350k and 450k respectively. I thanked them for coming out straight and for appreciating my worth because some other companies would have sent me rejection mails stating that we are sorry but we moved on to a more successful candidate. The essence of this is not basically about the take home but to enable recruiters hire smartly and also to help candidates make their choices without wasting their time.

🌟 Reflecting on My Journey: From Call Center to Recruitment 🌟 As I look back on my career, I can’t help but think about my first job in a call center 📞. It was a pivotal moment that laid the foundation for everything that followed! In those early days, I learned invaluable skills: how to communicate professionally with customers 🤝, navigate technology 💻, and de-escalate challenging situations. Each call was an opportunity to grow, and I quickly realized the power of patience and understanding. After gaining experience, I took a leap and joined a temporary staffing agency 🚀, which opened the door to my first reception role. This experience was crucial, allowing me to connect with diverse individuals and enhance my organizational skills 📅. Fast forward, and I’ve transitioned into recruitment, where I’m fortunate to help others find their dream jobs 🎯. My journey from the call center to becoming a recruiter has taught me the importance of empathy, resilience, and continuous learning 📚. I’m grateful for every step that has shaped my career. Here’s to embracing new challenges and supporting others on their paths! 🌈 What was the first job that led you to the work you are doing now? I’d love to hear your stories! 💬 #CareerJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #Recruitment #CustomerService #ReflectingOnMyPath

Have you ever encountered Workday, a powerful yet often frustrating Applicant Tracking System (ATS)? Its complex interface, mandatory profile creation, unreliable resume parsing, and endless forms can make the job application process tedious and time-consuming. 🙈 HR platforms do not solve these problems because they aim to filter out candidates who apply without carefully considering the job requirements, often due to the convenience of platforms like LinkedIn's Easy Apply. 🙉 However, they often forget that, due to the unfriendly user experience, most applicants might opt out of applying, resulting in fewer qualified candidates. This can lead to a less personalized and potentially less effective recruitment process. 🙊 Platforms, like Workday, Workable, Bamboo HR, and ADP, often have their unique application processes and requirements. By understanding the specific nuances of each platform, you can significantly improve your chances of successfully navigating the job application process. Understanding Workday's Unique Requirements: 🥊 Navigating Knockout Questions: We'll help you identify and address critical questions that can eliminate your application. ❓ Mastering Optional Questions: We'll guide you on how to leverage these questions to showcase your strengths. 📜 Optimizing Your Resume for Workday: We'll ensure your resume is formatted correctly to be easily parsed by the Workday ATS. I've manually screened 423 applications over the past week. How many people do you think reached out to me directly? One. And he got the job. Here's the breakdown: 🔹 4 Jobs advertised 🔹 Industries - sales, admin, and field engineers 🔹 423 applications 🔹 Vast majority screened due to skillset 🔹 Many screened because of Right to Work 🔹 1 person emailed and called me directly 🔹less than a week later, he's job the job Would I have gotten to that person's application eventually? Sure. But his approach made him stand out over other CVs that might have been a better fit on paper. I often talk about why mass applying to jobs is a waste of time. This is why. He found a role he was a fit for and did the work to contact the relevant person. It wasn't hard. My contact details are very public, but he's the only one who took action, found them, and called me. It showed initiative, critical thinking and made me take him seriously. He was engaged from the 1st second. In the end, I advocated very strongly for him with my client, because I know he has the right stuff. They met with him once, and 30min after the interview I was given the green light to offer him the role With a significant pay rise. It's amazing how doing just a little bit more can make such a big difference. Food for thought.
