Earlier today Preethi B. Rao and I facilitated Session 1 of our Kirkpatrick Bronze Certification Program. As we looked at the various aspects/ levels of the Kirkpatrick model, it became obvious that evaluation requires a lot of planning and resources. Hence it is important to remember that we only want to use the full model for mission-critical initiatives. While we should always define what participants should do on the job as a results of any training and understand the organizational outcomes it support; creating an implementing an evaluation plan at Level 3 and Level 4 only makes sense if an initiative meets some key criteria. Sharing below a little "Checklist" you can use to determine if your initiative is worth a full Level 4 evaluation. #kirkpatrick #trainingevaluation #trainingeffectiveness #learningandevelopment

I am delighted to be reaccredited as a Master Coach until end of 2027 by the International Coaching Federation - the global gold standard for the profession. This is my third accreditation at MCC level and I have undertaken a further 40+ hours of approved upskilling. Just 4% of coaches worldwide hold the MCC designation. Credentials matter to provide quality assurance to my clients and to constantly grow and hone my own skills. #mastery #MCC #ICF #professionalism #growth #qualityassurance #growthmindset

Excited to see the new BRONZE & SILVER programs getting rolled out. The team at Kirkpatrick Partners, LLC has done a great job in updating these two flagship programs. Can't wait for our participants of the first APAC batch to experience it. #kirkcert #trainingevaluation #trainingeffectiveness #learninganddevelopment #training

Usually, coaching certificates require weeks, even years, of training. ACI's is super quick and easy - and yep, very affordable too. It's for anyone who is coaching curious and wants to get some powerful tools and applicable methods to use at work - and at home! All based on brain science, professional coaches can get ICF and SHRM continuing credit and a truly valuable differentiator. No prior coaching experience or prerequisites are required. Here's how ours works: 1️⃣ Complete the self-paced, online eClass Real Confidence and companion Coaching Module (approx. 4 hours). 2️⃣ Pass the ACI certification exam (10 questions, open book, not timed and unlimited tries). 3️⃣ Participate in ONE small group practica (3 hours via Zoom). [**Upcoming Practica Date - Dec 10, 2024 - Quarterly practica typically run 11 am – 2 pm ET but may be adjusted to accommodate participant time zones.]. That's it. Preethi B. Rao and I just wrapped up our latest Kirkpatrick Bronze Certification batch. Lots of great discussions and questions asked by our global audience. One question that really stood out to me was "Which Level is the best to allocate the majority of resources toward to create the most business impact?" In his book Atomic Habits, James Clear writes about the layers of behavior change. He says that "goals are good for setting direction, but systems are best for making progress", which is why "you don't rise to the level of your goals, but rather fall to the level of your systems". The reasons our personal goals fail is the same reasons why our training initiatives can fail. We are quick to set goals and identify what needs to be done, but if we don't have a system of accountability or reinforcement, the problem or need will persist. In Kirkpatrick language, this is where Level 3 comes in. I would argue that Level 3 is the most important level, because it's the bridge between the training event and the Level 4 desired results. Therefore, it is the best level to allocate the majority of your resources to, such as time, money and energy. training. Curious to hear your thoughts on this Vanessa Alzate and James D. (Jim) Kirkpatrick. #trainingevaluation #kirkpatrick #trainingeffectiveness #makinglearningstick #goingbeyondtraining #learninganddevelopment #learningandperformance

#LeadershipDevelopment #ROI One of the things I'm passionate about is that my programmes have measurable outcomes for my clients. I need those considering my programmes to know that this is not just a pleasant day out with the horses - it's experiential learning with profound outcomes. And I know those outcomes need to be measured and reported on by L&D professionals if they, and SLT's are to take the programme seriously. These are all a work in progress and always developing (thanks to Paul Kinkaid for the valuable advice about building questionnaires 😀 ) but I hope it means the L&D communnity sees this work as a valuable intervention in their L&D frameworks. They frequently tell me measuring programme outcomes is one of their most challenging tasks so I hope this helps!
