Wow, a company going all-in on using company knowledge bulidung own GPTs (own ChatGPT bots with specialized internal knowledge and customized instructions) That's the way to go for companies. Build GPTs or customizing Microsoft Copilots for special purposes. Companies are full of data, we just have to lift the treasures. It is there! We can speak to and with all our data, generate and access knowledge independent from time and person. What an amazing time of collective knowledge creation and distribution! I have built one GPT on my own, but will double down and inspire co-workers what is possible!

A couple of years ago, I was invited by Isam Faik to spend a few minutes talking with his students about the effects of #technology and #automation on the #workforce and #society, drawing on my own #experiences of automating people's #work. One student asked me how to know what's in danger of automation. I responded to talk with engineers and see what they're working on and what they think will end up getting done. I noted that despite our best efforts, #robotics still weren't at a place where we could send them into a home and do a #plumber or #electrician's work. However, there was a lot of great work being done on #textual #analysis and we were already seeing great success in #translation #apps. I said that a lot of #software #engineers believed that they would be able to automate a lot of the work done by #lawyers. I said a lot of corporate lawyers just read and write #contracts anyway and that work was probably up for grabs. She then said, "So don't become a lawyer?" I smiled and thought, "Well, you didn't hear it from me." But... called it! 😁 Eh, I'm simplifying things, of course. I'm sure there will still be a place for lawyers, especially the really good ones. Now if only I'd been smart and bought NVIDIA stock back before it was famous! 😉
